Amazing villa. So much space. Outdoor area was great and the views were incredible. Some of the bathrooms are slightly dated but spotlessly clean and you are never inside anyway and that’s the only negative thing I can think of to say! Highly recommend.

Absolutely terrific. Diamantis is the most helpful and friendly host. From complimentary Raki, fresh baked loafs and goodies, he really made a big effort and we are grateful. House is clean, all the AC worked, very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed, spices, olive oil etc. home is well located, beautiful ocean view, excellent pool. We could go on & on, we had 10 people and everyone enjoyed. Superb stay. Thanks Valia, BIG thanks.

Amazing Villa

We stayed as a group of 8 (5 adults and 3 children) in August and had an amazing stay.Location is close to the town of Rethimno a couple of kilometres from the coast, so only a very short drive away (you can walk to the beach if you don't mind walking back up the hill!) Being on the side of a hill, you have amazing views across to the coast with uninterrupted sea views.The villa is large, so plenty of space to spread out both inside and out around the pool and barbecue area. The pool was large, warm and clean.It was very clean and very well equipped with all the kitchen and food utensils you could need.Communication was great in the lead up to the trip and the gift of some home grown fruit, homemade cake and homemade raki was a specual touch.We would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic Villa

Beautiful Villa with pool, we had an amazing family holiday in Crete. The owners of the villa were very kind and left us fresh fruit, homemade cake, eggs and raki and checked in on us to make sure we were ok. The villa itself had everything you could need and more, all in the beautiful Crete hillside, there was a lovely view of the countryside, seaview and surrounding mountains. Would recommend A*

Fantastic Stay with the most generous hosts

We stayed as a multi family group with 3 teenage horrors. Our holiday couldnt have been more amazing. Absolutely superb property with amazing amount of space for us to enjoy our own space or come together as a group or adults and teenagers. Based in the mountains but just a short walk or drive to the beach, the views were amazing. Mr Diamantis was lovely and when we arrived kindly gave us Rakki and local delicacies to enjoy and later in the week gave us some lovely pastries baked by his mother. Such fantastic Greek hospitality and would recommend to anyone.

Diamantis Villa

We were nine adults from 45 to 76, we had such a wonderful relaxing stay at Diamantis Villa. We purposely only ate out twice in the evenigs as we wanted to enjoy the villa. The outside cooking area is great. We basically spent all of our time around the pool, on the verandah looking out over the stunning views or chatting and making food in the kitchen. A very comfortable villa. The owner who met bought fresh made cake, fresh fruit and Raki to welcome us. I would highly recommend the villa as a wonderful holiday destination. Enjoy.

Amazing

Nice and clean appartment and a very good host. We felt more than welkom at our stay. The only commentary is that some of the toilets did not function properly. There were flush problems so to say. Further on, only positive experiences.

Amazing Villa

Villa Diamantis was 100% Like the Fotos on the Internet. We we're welcomed by the owner with Selfmade cake, goat-cheese, Rhaki, sweets for the children an beverages. I have never encountered this Level of hospitality before. The owner asked Several times If everything ist fine and If he can Help us to make our stay even better. If WE will visit Crete again WE will definitely come back. Also the Agency from Think Villas was a great Help. Thanks a Lot & See you soon. Ludger

Great welcome by Diamantis and Manolis a variety of home made goodies. We were a party of 11 ranging from 11 years to 68,plenty of room for everyone if you wanted a quiet moment. BBQ was great thank you, the walk down a steep hill to town takes 15 minutes. Would recommend a taxi back for the less fit, taxi firm on the main street (opposite corner of Levantes taverna good place to eat) cost 6 euros. Would recommend a car although most things are accesable Happy Days! Christos

Fantastic villa for a family holiday!

We had a fantastic time staying in the wonderful Diamantis Villa. Everything from the helpfulness of the team pre-stay with organising car hire and transfers for our group and setting up child friendly rooms, through to the owner greeting us with a welcome cake and a tour of the villa (including the gardens with fresh vegetables we could pick from and the numerous fruit trees surrounding the villa), meant this holiday felt like a 5 star experience. The villa itself is well proportioned, has all the things you would expect from the kitchen and living spaces, and it’s numerous balconies offered breakfast, lunch or dinner with breathtaking views. The pool area is spacious and so relaxing, and the small baby pool perfect for our little ones, which is often something you don’t get. The recommendations for food and drink locally and in Rethymo only 20 minutes drive away (and well recommended to visit) were fantastic, and one of the highlights of our week was booking chef Kostas to come and cook a Cretan BBQ for us - a fantastic experience! All in all would highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying in Crete.

The full Crete experience

My family and I have rented many houses over the years and this was the first time we were welcomed like family with homemade gifts of wine, olive oil, and many more treats as well as a garden full of fruit and vegetables that we enjoyed on a daily basis. The location is central to the popular destinations on Crete and there were many restaurants nearby that provided takeout options. Our favorite was the White Lady Tavern. We ordered dinner from there three times in one week! The property managers answered all of our questions in a timely manner and gave great recommendations for rental cars, a boat tour, beaches and even a service that delivers fresh groceries. The house itself is clean and spacious, and the air conditioners are silent so we slept very well even during the hottest week of the year. All around a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting - we hope to return soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for all of the gifts and kindness!

Amazing Days - Amazing Hosts Manolis and Diamantis- Lovely Valia - Crete at it's best

We are a group of 9 Persons from Germany and Denmark and we often travel together. We booked our stay already in January but we had to reschedule due to private causes - the rebooking was so uncomplicated that I really appreciate the kindness of Valia and the hosts. Fortunately in Oct this year we did it. We highly recommend to book a car ( we had a Mini Bus for 9) that was fun. We were impressed by the view and the size of the Villa. It is so big and includes everything. Nothing to complain - and soooo many things to highlight - we will Keep these adorable memories. Manolis and his Son prepared a BBQ for us - oh my goodness - this was tasty - only fresh products and good Raki. Honestly - you do not feel as a Tourist, you feel as a friend. We all loved it and are disappointed to be back. Maik and his friends

Most memorable vacation

We arrived from Heraklion to Adele and followed a narrow road up wondering if it was the right place....one home left at the top. Not being sure if it was Villa DIAMANTIS, we rang the doorbell and out came Diamantis with the most welcoming smile assuring us this was indeed Villa DIAMANTIS and his name was Diamantis. We followed him in and were greeted with Raki shots, cheese, Cretan rusks and homemade cake on the balcony overlooking a spectacular scene of the orchards & sea. This was the beginning of our Cretan Adventure.... Diamantis and his generous and warm family provided us with their home grown produce of eggs, olive oil and much more...he would pass everyday to make sure we had all we needed. We had come to Crete for our son's wedding. Diamantis and his family arranged a delicious and amazing BBQ one night for our family & friends....with Greek dancing and plenty of Raki...and "kefi". Thank-you Diamantis & family for making our family occasion even more magical and memorable!

Great villa, great views, dreadful location

Villa Diamantis is a beautiful property with stunning views and some very caring owners and the Villa itself deserves 5 stars. We stayed as a family of 11 with ages ranging from 1 - 68 and the Villa was perfect for us with 6 big bedrooms, 3 kitchens, 2 large terraces and a large pool area. The pool was perfectly warm even at the beginning of June and the family really enjoyed the Villa. The owners are brilliant they provided us with lots of home made goodies during our stay including cake, cheese, Raki, eggs. They also put on a proper Greek BBQ for us which was amazing! We booked our stay in August the year before based on the fact it was only 200m to the nearest shops and taverna. Sadly this turned out to be totally fictitious and why I'm only rewarding the villa 2 stars. The nearest shop and taverna decided not to open this season (we couldn't figure out where this was as the Villa is quite remote) this meant the nearest shops and tavernas were in Adelianos Kampos which was a 1.5km walk away down a very steep dirt track road. This made the journey impossible for the youngest and eldest members of our party. Even for some of us that are fit the walk was especially tough in the heat, however the major problem was a number of large aggressive guard dogs (Rottweilers, Alsatians and Huskies) and smaller dogs which would come out into the dirt track and growl, bark and snap at you until you were well out of their guard area. This was quite a scary experience for people not used to large dogs and made the journey impossible at night time and incredibly risky with small children. We therefore had to rely on Taxis to get to and from the Villa, which we hadn't planned for. This would have been workable aside from the state of the track to get up the hill which was so bad that towards the end of our stay the Taxi companies started to refuse to take us up to avoid damaging their cars, further limiting our ability to get around and buy water or food. Ultimately we had a great time in the Villa however the owners need to make it clear that it is a long way from the nearest shops and tavernas (not 200m as advertised) and without cars the track to the Villa is not suitable for young and elderly people and the Taxi companies were not happy with the road. Sadly to a degree this ruined our stay at Villa Diamantis.

We werden gastvrij ontvangen door de verhuurders met een glaasje Raki en lekkers. Uitgebreid rondgeleid en halverwege ons verblijf werd het hele huis weer schoongemaakt en werden de bedden en handdoeken verschoond. De villa ligt erg mooi en de weg daar naar toe was ook prima uitgeschreven.

Villa fantastique et hôtes très attentionnés

Villa ++++ Lors de notre arrivée, nos hôtes nous ont très bien accueilli avec des spécialités crétoises et nous ont gâtés tout au long du séjour avec des spécialités fait maison délicieuses et des œufs frais. La villa et le jardin sont magnifiques et d'une propreté irréprochable. Nous n'aurions pas pu rêver d'une villa plus parfaite. Un très grand merci

Super großes Haus mit schönem Pool. Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter war sehr angenehm. Die Lage ist perfekt um mal etwas lauter zu sein, ohne jemanden zu stören. Trotzdem ist man schnell in der Stadt.

Perfecte woning en locatie

Prachtige woning op een prachtige plek met schitterend uitzicht op de zee. Er is erg veel ruimte met diverse zitjes. Prima zwembad en mooie barbeque. Manager is zeer hulpverlenend! Na vier dagen werd de hele woning schoongemaakt. Topservice!

Genoten van de luxe villa.

Nadat we het huis 's avonds laat met moeite hadden gevonden werden we met lekkernijen zeer hartelijk onthaald door de huiseigenaar, die in de loop van de week nog meer home-made lekkers bracht. Voor ons gezelschap (9 volwassenen en twee kinderen) was het een perfect huis met veel ruimte, een mooi zwembad en veel zitjes, ook om te eten. Met het mooie uitzicht en de rust was het elke dag vakantie. Vanuit de locatie konden op geringe afstand leuke uitstapjes worden gedaan.

Sehr gastfreundlicher Empfang

Die Gastgeber sind total liebenswert und wir wurden herzlich empfangen mit leckeren Köstlichkeiten aus eigener Herstellung! Von Käse bis Kuchen über Raki… Wirklich toll! Wie auch die Vermittlerin Valia Kokkinou, die immer schnell und freundlich auf unsere Fragen reagiert hat und auch bei der Umbuchung wegen Flugausfall gab es kein Problem. Kleine Kritik: Leider gab es ein Problem mit dem Warmwasser (da etwas kaputt war) und wir hatten nur zwei Tage bei denen es ging. Etwas sauberer hätte es bei der Küche und den Bädern auch sein dürfen und der Kühlschrank sollte ausgetauscht werden, da er nicht mehr kühlt. Hier sind wir auf den Zweiten im UG ausgewichen. Aber alles in allem ein schönes großes Haus mit viel Platz und tollem Aussenbereich!! Jeder findet hier einen guten Rückzugsort, wenn man mal nicht aufeinander hängen möchte. Als Tipp: Man braucht ein Auto, denn der Weg zum Strand wäre etwas zu mühsam den Berg runter und wieder hoch. Aber um die Insel zu erkunden, hat man ja ohnehin eins. Danke nochmal für die Gastfreundschaft!! Und was auch toll ist: die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit, super erreichbar und auch für den Aussenbereich war von Grill (mit Kohle und Anzünder) bis Tischtennisplatte alles da! Ganz lieben Dank nochmal.

Basic furnished villa with amazing views and nice pool area.

This property is located a 10 minute drive from the sea, overlooking it and the vally. The villa is basic equipped, cooking pans should be replaced. Beds are small but of great quality. Rooms are basic. Barhrooms are dated and small. Poolside is really nice, garden is wonderful. The owner is very, very nice and welcoming. He brings fresh foods, homemade drinks, fruits etc! Overall great stay!
