This cozy cabin is the perfect mountain sanctuary for you and your family— just as it is for the monarch butterflies that reside here. If you've been searching for a private cabin in the woods with enchanting views, look no further. With such a great location, it's easy to take in the expansive mountain and valley views, whether you're gathered around the fireplace inside or resting on the back deck.
As the sun goes down, you can visit the Monarch Butterfly sanctuary just below the cabin, and once it's dark, you can roast marshmallows, stargaze, and swap stories around the outdoor fire pit. This retreat will allow you to enjoy the best of what nature has to offer while still being conveniently located just a short drive away from Hendersonville, Arden, Fletcher, and Asheville. We highly recommend local favorites, Black Bear Coffee Co. (10 minutes away) for your coffee fix, Two Trees Distilling Company (13 minutes away) for sustainable fine spirits, Sierra Nevada Brewery (25 minutes away) for local craft beer, and the colorful Blue Sky Cafe (15 minutes away) for a quick bite!
Shadow Ridge Retreat is a 20-minute drive from the Asheville Regional Airport and a 22-minute drive from the WNC Agriculture Center, host to the annual NC Mountain State Fair, Vintage Market Days, and countless other fairs, trade shows, and events throughout the year. It's also within a 35-minute drive of Asheville's award-winning restaurants and attractions.
