Perfect Place for Celebration Vacation

It was truly an amazing have a wonderful time. It was the vacation week that was chosen in January, which happened to be the same week hurricane Debbie came to Charleston, South Carolina! So it was wonderful to escape that mess and the views were just superb! I won’t even mention watching the white squirrels, munching around the yard what fun!

This home has an awesome view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is comfortable and peaceful. The access roads are gravel, but an easy drive.

Fun family vacation.

The home was spacious and had beautiful mountain views. It was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed long days out hiking, sightseeing, eating out but then came home and were able to relax in comfort. Full kitchen was very helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean.

Beautiful views and lovely place

The hosts set everything up and give you so many things you may need. The road up is a single lane gravel mountain road. However the view is so worth it. We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets and saw white squirrels. We stupidly packed the keys too and felt terrible and the host was super gracious on it being mailed back. I would stay here again!

Perfect Getaway

Well stocked with great views home. Feels like a retreat space with its quiet location, but situated close to town for activities and meals. The property manager is responsive and helpful. I would visit again.

North Carolina Mountain Getaway

This was a nicely appointed property at the top of a ridge with gorgeous long range views. We utilized both the front and back porches, and experienced some incredible sunsets. The location is quiet, serene, and relaxing. It is also located close to both Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which provided great access to hiking and mountain biking. We will definitely consider renting this home again in the future.

Mountain Bliss

The views from this property were absolutely stunning ♥️♥️♥️. To sit in bed with the door open to listen to the sounds of the birds, rooster in the distance and watch the clouds roll over the mountains was pure bliss. Saw the Milky Way at night ♥️ and was given a warm goodbye by a white squirrel on my last day. Definitely want to come back! Thank you for sharing this sacred space with us!

Incredible Visit

The view, the view, the view! Even on a cold spring evening, we bundled up and watched the sun set and enjoyed every moment of it. Amenities were plentiful, exceeding our expectations. Beds were comfy after a long day of biking and enjoying Pisgah and DuPont. The white squirrels, turkeys and deer gave it all a nice extra touch.

Getaway w/ a view

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was well kept and had all the amenities of home. We spent every morning and evening on the backporch- the views are amazing. Also, got to see some deer and white squirrels that visited the yard. Would absolutely recommend!

Fantastic Mountain Home

Myself, my wife, daughter & her husband plus 2 grandkids stayed here. Great house with unbelievable views. Plenty of room for everyone. House is supplied with about everything needed for a week stay. Location is secluded but still easy access to Hendersonville stores &restaurants. Many state parks with great hiking and waterfalls nearby. Would absolutely stay here again!

We have enjoyed vacations in the mountains of western North Carolina for many years and often thought it would be a great place to retire. After 2 years of looking for just the right place that we both could be satisfied with, our Realtor helped us discover Mountain Ridge Cottage on Turkey Creek. Now we enjoy an active life in Louisiana and can also retreat to a slower pace and cooler place in the mountains.It has been a real reprieve for us. The glory of the Lord abounds in these mountains and is time well spent. We hope to share our mountain home with others who desire to slow down and reconnect with what is important.

Hendersonville and Brevard are both small towns that offer a quality of life we find appealing. The people are friendly and there is a wide variety of places to explore and experience. Our desire was to own a mountain retreat we could enjoy with our children and grandchildren. We felt at home from the moment we drove up to the property on Turkey Creek Drive. The stunning mountain view from the deck was the real draw. The Turkey Creek Drive community is a safe place that offers an opportunity for both of us to enjoy and pursue our interest. Our home is private yet not secluded as we can be at the grocery store in 5 minutes or the Asheville Airport in 20 minutes.

It is our intent to offer families and friends a place to gather and enjoy each other at an affordable price so that they may return. We hope that each person who stays at Mountain Ridge Cottage feels renewed and re-energized when they leave. The Cottage offers a cheerful, warm, feeling from the moment you drive up. The cottage has been updated with new appliances, beautiful hardwood and porcelain flooring throughout, Sony flat screen TV, and access to a complete laundry room downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for short or long term stays. Cooking in or eating out will be your preference. The beds are comfortable and the king size bed has a Tempurpedic mattress....oh so restful. The cottage is in a safe area and is apart from traffic and noise. The house and grounds are clean and well-kept as a cleaning service is used after each guest departs. Outdoor living space is available facing the east in the morning and the west in the afternoon. It is the best mountain view you will find in a vacation rental this affordable. The cottage is conveniently located to those things that attract the most sight-seeing and outdoor adventure offered in western North Carolina. A short drive will take you to shopping, dining, music festivals, theater, fine arts, local crafts, national and state parks, abundant waterfalls, scenic drives and so much more open for your exploration. The drive up, off of Hwy 64 West is winding and beautiful so take it slow. Turkey Creek Drive is a short, gravel, winding, one way road. The challenging drive is worth the effort to experience the beautiful mountain view. You can't look down and out unless you make the trip up! Well worth it.
