Our classic beach house is the perfect getaway, all year round.
Retro charm meets modern appliances, it's the quintessential Aussie beach house.
Just a 5 min walk to beautiful Skenes Creek beach, 5 min drive to Apollo Bay and an ideal base to explore the Great Ocean Road and the Otways.
A couple of streets back from the noise of the Great Ocean Road, you'll sleep peacefully, woken only by the local birdlife or occasionally the resident koala (he snorts!) We have super fast WiFi too.

With three bedrooms, a modern kitchen and cosy living space, our house is perfect for a couples weekend or a larger family holiday.

There's a large deck with views of the ocean, outdoor dining table and BBQ for your summer dinners and a cosy fireplace for those colder winter nights.

2 bedrooms have queen size beds, the 3rd has a queen bed and a set of bunks. We also have a portacot if you have a tiny one with you.

The huge backyard is fully fenced with a large trampoline and there is an outdoor shower with hot water for rinsing off after the beach.

The house is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and air conditioner. The room with bunk beds has a TV, dvd player, kids books, dvds and board games.

You'll have exclusive use of the entire house. The key is in a keysafe at the property.

Skenes Creek is a lovely little hamlet, situated between Wye River and Apollo Bay.

The beach is 500m from the house with sand to the right and rock pools to the left.

Abundant birdlife visit the property. Bower birds, black cockatoos, crimson rosellas, kookaburras and the local king parrots will eat from your hand. It's best not to feed the cockatoo's though as they can be very loud!
There is also a resident koala in the front tree.

Further afield, Skenes Creek is the perfect base for you to explore the Great Ocean Road and the rainforests of the Otway National Park. There are so many great walks to choose from including sections of the Great Ocean Road Walk. One favourite is The Shelley Beach Circuit (2km) which starts from the Shelley Beach Picnic Area (20 minutes from the house). Look out for koalas and echidnas along the bush track. If you're looking for a stunning rainforest walk try the Lake Elizabeth track (2km) which is a 40 minute drive from the house.

The 12 Apostles are the highlight of the Great Ocean Road and are just over an hours drive.

It's a quick 5 minute drive to the shops and restaurants at Apollo Bay. The most delicious fish and chips can be found at the Apollo Bay Seafood Cafe.

The famous Wye Beach Hotel at Wye River is a 20 min drive. A pretty special spot with a huge deck and uninterrupted ocean views.

Saturday markets on the foreshore at Apollo Bay. A great place to pick up local berries, homemade jams and cakes or a souvenir.

We have a 3 night minimum for long weekends.

We supply all bed linen and towels.

We also provide kitchen basics, including tea/coffee, olive oil, salt and pepper.

Skenes is a quiet little area with neighbours all around, so we don't allow parties, events, or schoolies.
