Denis, an artistic ironworker whose work you can appreciate in the gîte, & Valérie welcome you to an elegant 19th century Bresse farmhouse - traditional stone & timber-framed architecture - carefully restored according to the rules of the art. Calm & tranquility in the heart of a small rural hamlet nestled in the countryside, on the edge of meadows & forest, a stone's throw from the commercial village of Saint-Usuge nestled on the banks of the Seille, a remarkable ecosystem partly classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" (migratory bird reserve, rare plant species, many fish including the famous catfish, animals and wildlife, etc.). Great comfort. Large living room & rooms with noble dimensions. Warm contemporary country character enhanced by careful heritage restoration (beams, majestic frame farm, brick wall & original timber-framed walls). Cozy & zen atmosphere, bathed in a soft sobriety. Complete high-quality equipment (including billiards & table football). Double large exposed & shaded terrace, one of which is sheltered with an "outdoor" relaxation lounge. Pleasant lawned & wooded garden with pétanque court, adjoining a small meadow where Roxanne, the owners' mare, grazes and their henhouse (away from the gîte), for the children's enjoyment. Very elegant traditional 19th century Bresse farmhouse of character carefully restored in the rules of the art in an ultra comfortable holiday home - with a pétanque ground, a ping-pong table, a table football & a billiards table - located in a quiet countryside, on the edge of fields, meadows & forests, in a peaceful little rural hamlet adjoining the heart of the commercial village of Saint-Usuge nestled on the banks of the Seille, in the hollow of a partly protected natural site classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone", 7 km from Louhans (all amenities on site), capital of Bresse, famous for its iconic medieval shopping street with "157 arcades" (one of the most remarkable of this type in France and in Europe) as well as for its very famous "Monday market" labeled "Remarkable Site of Taste". Prime location on the routes of a cycle route referenced "Boucle Vélo Coup de Cœur" (35 km route connected to the greenway located 7 km away) & several nature hiking trails marked as "green walks", not far from the Romanesque church circuit. In the heart of Bresse Louhannaise & Bourguignonne - cradle of the famous AOC Bresse poultry - delightful preserved territory rich in very varied landscapes alternating hedged plains dotted with ponds, forests, rivers, meadows and mountainous foothills of the nearby Jura massif. Interesting location for exploring the crossroads of Ain & Jura, at the crossroads of Chalonnais, Bresse du Jura, Mâconnais, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & Bresse de l'Ain, all at the same time close to the world-renowned vineyards of Southern Burgundy (Côtes Mâconnaises, Côtes Chalonnaises & Côtes de Beaune) & the vineyards of Jura (various wine routes to explore). 20 km from the Bresse racing circuit (multi-activity car, motorcycle and karting on 48 ha), 26 km from Lons-le-Saunier, 35 km from Tournus (world-renowned abbey site), 35 km from Verdun sur-le-Doubs (& its river marina nestled at the confluence of the Doubs & the Saône), 37 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "City of Art & History"), 41 km from Seurre & 57 km from Beaune (68 km from the TGV station of Le Creusot & 75 km from the Mâcon Loché TGV station). Magnifique ferme restaurée avec goût et qualité. Des jeux pour toute la famille, de l espace pour tous les âges, au calme et en bonne compagnie (jument, poules, lapins, hérisson), bref une semaine bien trop courte ! Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !
