オアマルは美しい海岸沿いの町で、独特の個性と魅力があります。 初期の開拓者は、オアマル石の準備が整った状態で、オアマル石から多くの美しい建物を建設しました。これらの建物の多くは、その後の数年間で幸運にも取り壊されました。 1980年代頃、一部の人々はこれらの建物の美しさと歴史的価値に気づき始め、時間とともに復元され、古い建物はゆっくりと新しい生活とさまざまな目的を与えられました。 これ自体が、建物とオアマルのキャラクターを強化した素晴らしい芸術家や職人を引き付けました。 次に、オアマルのキャラクターをさらに強化するスチームパンクがやってきました。

Great stay very convenient to town. First night truck noise was annoying but weekend nights were better. Clean and well appointed.

Lovely big house with character

In the end there were only two of us. But that was okay as our steampunk costumes had a whole bedroom to themselves! The house was spacious but the rooms warmed up very quickly with the efficient heaters. The house has a lovely, homely atmosphere and we really did feel like we were ‘coming home’ at the end of each day. Very convenient for town, too; we walked nearly everywhere. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great house for a get together

We stayed here for a couple of days over the Jazz festival. It was a great location and the house was spacious enough to fit all 8 of us. We really enjoyed the house, it was very clean and well presented. The deck area and bbq was a great bonus. I would defiantly stay again some time

Trip to Oamaru

This property was perfect for our two night getaway to go to the Pink concert in Dunedin. Clean, warm and comfortable beds.

Warm, Inviting and homely

Large, comfy and close to everything you need

You can walk to the city centre, New World, a takeaway and if you're more into walking, to the blue penguin colony too! Only drawback is that it is along SH1, but because it's in the 50 zone, it's not that bad. And the house is really nice and spacious, with a nice garden too.

Oamaru Holiday Stay

We found the home to be very pleasant. The bedrooms were large and beds comfortable. Facilities were adequate and location was good. Parking for two cars was a very pleasant bonus.

Five dancers down south

Homely, sunny, easy to warm, walking distance to town, beds comfy, showers great water pressure, oven cooks great roast dinners - we ran the rental car through the carwash and removed the tacky residue from the beautiful oak trees that line the street - it is SH1 and traffic constant - after a full day in glorious weather and healthy fresh air, sleep was not a problem - thanks Ngaire for sharing your lovely home - would highly recommend.
