Be a local for a while, the hosts are the best you will find. Kind, helpful and truly care about your comfort! Great local restaurants and place to buy fresh seafood. Will be back for another stay

Awesome Relaxing Time Away

Our stay here was excellent from start to finish. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described—if not better. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, which made the entire experience feel easy and stress-free.The host clearly pays attention to the details, from the well-stocked amenities to the welcoming atmosphere. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area.If you love shrimp , this is your place ! Overall, we had a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped place to stay!

Nice Stay

I had a very enjoyable weekend at Da Boat House. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were on a fishing trip so we were able to buy our baits from Legacy Custom Tackle. Sean was also kind enough to point out fishing spots since we were new to that area. The accommodations were right on the bayou so if you don't have a boat you can fish off the back of the property.

Our work stay at da Boat House

We had an incredible stay here while in town for work. We brought our fishing poles in order to take advantage of the waterfront property that was just steps from fishing. We were greeted with amazing hospitality and conversations with Shawn and Kari! With their custom tackle shop on site, we were able to get great tips and the right tackle to have a successful "work" vacation. This is a beautiful getaway location that is full of great views of birds and the local gators! An absolute must stay, we look forward to coming back!

Refresh Your Soul

Beyond words! The hosts are welcoming, informative and give you all the privacy you want. Da Boat House is nestled right on the Bayou to give you perfect views of glorious sunrises, afternoons in the shade and nights to watch the moon reflect on the ever changing current of the Bayou. Fishing is without end, relaxing, reading a book, meditating and thoughtful conversation filled our days with time and space to renew or souls. The hosts offered a “Live like a local” guide that is spot on for all the Bayou is known for including delicious Cajun food and local charm. We encountered friendly smiles and waves everywhere we went. You are only a 45 minute drive to the busy city of New Orleans for more excitement. Staying in a house boat on the land was so much fun! The accommodation is so well thought out with all the extras beyond what an impersonal hotel provides. The property is well manicured and very loved with brilliant color. Quiet, personal, cozy and comfortable are just a few words to describe our stay. We will tell everyone we know and make plans to return! You do not want to miss the one-of-a-kind getaway!
