Escape to Lower Moonridge at Mama Bear's Cottage, a cozy mountain retreat near Bear Mountain with a large fenced backyard, wood-burning fireplace and ski-slope views.

With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and more than 1,200 sq. ft. of living space, this comfortable cabin sleeps up to 6 guests and combines classic Big Bear character with a convenient location close to skiing, hiking, the Alpine Zoo and local Moonridge shops and dining.

So Comfy and Cozy

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend at Mama Bear's Cottage. We felt safe, slept comfortably, and enjoyed the cabin's location. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-stocked. We loved the fact that it was close to restaurants, shopping, and most of all, close to the beautiful lake! Definitely would visit again!

My kids really enjoyed their room and all the stuffies they had. It was the perfect set up to go with kids. All amenities were great. Definitely looking to book again next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful retreat. Our one and only complaint and it is more of an irritation. There were two kitchen cabinets that kept coming open due to the broken magnets. Very irritating when cooking and prepping food and the cabinets kept opening into our face. That's all. Thanks.

We really liked the location. It was close to town and the activities that we had planned. Nice fenced yard for our pet. Home has a mountain house feel to it. It’s not super updated but comfy. My only complaint was that it was advertised for having a barbecue, but there was no grill. When we are together as a family, grilling is part of what we do so we were disappointed about not having one. overall nice stay!

Inside of the cabin was clean, but a bit run down. Cabinets that were broken, windows / blinds were a bit dated but still livable. Backyard was a bit of a disappointment as the decks, yard and tables are much more run down than what was advertised. It also didn’t look like the yard / sitting areas had been cleaned or tended to for months. It felt as if half of what we had paid for during the stay was unusable. Would not recommend if an outdoor space is important to you.
