Relaxed holiday at Pelican Shore

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family visited Kalbarri in September and we booked two villas at Pelican Shore. The accommodation has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. Centrally located, comfortable and quiet, this is our third time there and will definitely book again next time we travel to lovely Kalbarri.

We did not use the pool (purely our personal our choice).The Wi-Fi was excellent.The beds, linen, towels were clean and comfortable.The alfresco furniture was filthy with dust and bird droppings. We had to clean the table and 3 of the chairs before we could use it. The ledge outside the door of the alfresco is broken and painted to disguise the missing tiles.The living room sofa was broken. When my wife sat down and tried to stretch-out, the end section of the sofa dislodged from the main sofa and she nearly fell onto the floor. The sofa itself is aged and has had a hard life.There was a 'tacky' feel to all the worktops in the kitchen, as if they had been cleaned with a greasy cloth. We had to clean all the worktops before preparing any food.The cutlery and crockery were clean and there was plenty of everything for our stay.For 1657.70 for a 3-night stay, even during a peak holiday period, requires a higher standard. I have stayed at other properties in Kalbarri while there for work and the standard has been much higher. Honestly, if I had the choice again, I would have booked a week in Bali instead.

Thank you for your review — we’re really pleased to hear that you were happy with the beds, linen, and the kitchen supplies such as the cutlery and overall setup. We also appreciate you pointing out the issue with the sofa. Thank you for bringing this to our attention — we’re going to look into it to ensure it’s addressed for future guests. In terms of cleanliness, the property had just undergone a pre-clean prior to your arrival, and our cleaners use fresh cloths for each property they service. That said, we always value feedback and will continue working to maintain high standards. Regarding the outdoor chairs, we completely understand your concern. Unfortunately, there is currently a minor swallow presence in the area which we are actively managing. Despite regular power hosing, the chairs can be affected by bird droppings. Additionally, as the unit is positioned at the front, it is exposed to afternoon southerly winds which can bring in dust. We truly appreciate your feedback. The unit is in a fantastic location, and we’re glad you enjoyed many aspects of your stay. We hope to welcome you again in the future.
