2 Pros - Location is great and they let us check out of this horror of a property after 1 night and gave a partial refund. Cons - After parking in the horribly maintained sketchy lot we climbed 3 flights of stairs (no where on description) in a falling apart filthy building, to find a front door lock that took 3 attempts to get in. We heard low battery repeatedly from the lock. After entering the stale smelling horribly maintained filthy apartment, the front lock continued to beep every few minutes. I messaged host @6:30 about urgent front door security concern after seeing the front door had obviously been broken in to. As we awaited the response, we looked around finding stained walls, hair on bathroom floors, dirty sock in closet, debris in drawers, cobwebs, filth covered vents, etc. After no response, around 7:30 I called the phone number for the management company and got the afterhours staff member. After 10 minutes on the phone she asked if i would consider this an emergency, I assured her it was. After 15 more minutes she couldn't figure out who to call. She suggested I call the number on my greeting email. I did it was her. I gave up. Having miraculously survived the night without an asthma attack, I gave the owner a few hours to reply - I gave up and filled out a VRBO complaint around 9:30. Finally around 10 I got a message from the host that they would be out to change the batteries. After a brief back and forth about the safety and filth agreed to partial refund.

Moldy torn rug - just take it our!
Bathroom door rotting on bottom, dirt on door. I regret not taking better or more pictures, its far worse than it looks
