Beautiful Loft Apartement, quiet, 5 mn historical center

Dear Glen, We are delighted to know that you had a pleasant stay in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue – also known as the “Venice of the South” – and that you enjoyed the apartment, its amenities, location, and the village’s atmosphere, especially on market days. As the apartment is located right on the edge of the Historic Center and by the Sorgue River, it offers a peaceful and relaxed way of life, away from the main crowds, while being just a short walk from all the village’s attractions and amenities. As for the heat, it is indeed one of the well-known characteristics of our beautiful Provence. Because the apartment is located within the protected zone of the city center, it is not possible to install traditional air conditioning units on the façades, due to regulations set by the Heritage Protection Service. However, several features help keep the heat under control: wooden shutters on the outside (to be closed “en cabane” during the hottest hours), curtains inside, fully redone insulation completed in February 2025, thick walls, and cross-ventilated windows to allow airflow. Two fans are also provided (one on the mezzanine and another in the bedroom). Regarding the mattresses, the one on the mezzanine was replaced in 2022, and the one in the bedroom was also carefully chosen – hypoallergenic, soft yet supportive, keeping in mind that everyone has a different sleep style (side, stomach, back) and body type. We hope to welcome you again!

Regarding the comment about the parking, the large public parking area, which is free, partially shaded, and under video surveillance, located right by the water in close proximity to our rental, is indeed appreciated by people. Since the beginning of 2023, the town has three free parking areas with a total of 850 spaces. Regarding your comment, the apartment has a fan available, in addition to the air conditioning in the bedroom. Indeed, the apartment is located in the outskirts of the city center, and it is not possible to add air conditioning units on the façades due to the regulations set by the Heritage Protection Service. In fact, we are one of the few apartments in this area of the city with air conditioning in the bedroom, as it was allowed before the change in the Heritage Protection law. Thank you very much for your feedback. We will be very happy to welcome you again. Regarding parking, indeed, the city updated its parking policy in January 2024. It remains quite easy to find a spot, except on Sunday mornings, which is a very popular market day throughout the region. As for the stairs, the apartment is in a building protected by the provisions of the Heritage Service. We are fortunate to still have a vintage spiral staircase with the original tiling and handrail, which is quite rare today. Regarding the comment about mattresses, the one on the mezzanine is new (december 2022), and the other in the bedroom has been selected, too, with great care: allergenic, soft, compact, and keeping in mind that everyone has a different sleep profile (sleeping on their side, stomach, back...) and their own body mass. Cher Monsieur, Merci de votre retour. Selon nos échanges oraux/écrits, et descriptif de l'annonce, de nombreux parkings publics sont disponibles et gérés par la Municipalité. Pour la climatisation, elle ne figure pas dans l'annonce et descriptif des équipements (deux gros ventilateurs sont à disposition). Nous sommes désolés que vous vous soyez trompé dans vos dates de réservation, que vous ayez dû partir un jour plus tôt que ce que vous n'aviez prévu, sans possibilité pour nous de pouvoir prolonger une nuit supplémentaire, en raison de la réservation complète du Loft Provence, en pleine saison. Nous regrettons aussi l'évocation de votre impossibilité de connexion et disparition de votre réservation de la plateforme Abritel, pour lesquelles, en tant qu'hôte, nous n'avons aucune prise, ayant pour notre part, confirmé à Abritel que tout était bien en ordre de notre côté, sur leur site, et répondu à votre demande. En espérant que vous aurez pu solutionner ces soucis techniques, et que vous ayez bien terminé votre séjour. Cordialement.

S'agissant du stationnement, le grand parking public, gratuit, tout juste en bas du loft (vidéo surveillance), est bien prisé, comme celui le long de la Sorgues. Si jamais, il en existe d'autres, un peu plus loin, (8-10 mn à pieds) derrière le bâtiment de la Poste. Au plaisir de vous recevoir à nouveau. Bien cordialement.
