This house was a good place to stay, close to the beach.The place could use some updating and maintenance and when we checked in the place was for the most part clean, but we found a lot of hair (human and animal) all over.The price was fair and we were able to overlook the few issues and had a comfortable stay.

We chose to stay at this property mostly due to it being pet friendly & having a fenced in backyard. Overall we were happy with our stay. We found that driving just down the road near The Reef restaurant was the easiest beach access. If you’re looking for a “luxurious” stay, this may not be the place for you, but I would definitely stay again for the price! The upstairs bed was very comfortable & had the softest sheets ever, the AC worked so good (though it does get a little warmer upstairs), the neighborhood felt very safe, & my dogs were able to come along & have a safe & private backyard so overall we were happy!

Just a short walk to a great restaurant on the water, Caps, through the back of the neighborhood. Very quiet. About a mile to public beach access. Lovely coffee and tea selection for Kerig too. Backyard does need tending to if you are bringing your pups.

Not exactly a walk to the beach

We slept there and ate our first night take out meal there. Loose stair piece which came off on our first trip up the stairs was a safety hazard. Upstairs vanity sink had a large deep crack. Upper kitchen cabinet handle came off in my hand. Downstairs tub has a deep divot in the porcelain. Layout is nice. We did not cook. We did one load of laundry successfully. Except for the above concerns we enjoyed our stay.

Good for a short trip

This is an older home in need of TLC in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, though the primary bedroom in the loft gets hot during the day. The kitchen is serviceable but could use updates. We liked that this home is close to St. Augustine and the beach without being in an overly touristy or crowded area. It was the perfect size for our small family. We did not like that a few of the towels had dirt/make up stains. We did not contact the host as there were others to use. The public beach access is about a half mile walk (across from 3rd street). Not too bad, but a bit of a trek if you are carrying a lot of things on a hot day. With some sprucing up and updates we would stay here again.

Peaceful beach retreat

Very nice, villa-style property in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to a pristine beach area, and short drive away from downtown St. Augustine. The upper loft bedroom with its comfortably firm bed and en suite full bath is definitely a stand-out feature of this home. Kitchen was well-stocked and functional, though appliances were a bit dated. Also enjoyed taking in some fresh morning air in the lanai and outdoor sitting area. As the first to rent this villa, there were a few hiccups, but host Sarah was great, very responsive and helpful to quickly address them.
