Not Just Dirty — There Was a Plant Growing Out of the Wall!
I’ve stayed in a wide range of vacation rentals, but nothing prepared me for the level of filth and neglect in this property. This place was truly disgusting from the moment we walked in — and I don’t use that word lightly.There was a live plant growing out of the baseboards in the kitchen area. Not decorative — actually growing out of the wall. Surfaces were sticky, the refrigerator was dirty and had leftover THC sodas inside, and there was juice splattered on the walls. A table was literally being propped up by folded napkins, and boogers were smeared on the walls in multiple bedrooms.The home reeked of mildew, that was attempted to be covered up by a scented floor cleaner or something similar. There was visible mold/mildew, bleach-stained sheets, broken floor tiles, and animal-scratched door frames. The bathroom sinks were so small they felt like something out of an RV.And to make matters worse, every single smoke detector had been removed from the ceilings. This isn’t just disgusting — it’s unsafe. No fire safety in a rental is a massive red flag and completely unacceptable.The photos in the listing were wildly misleading. It’s clear this place hasn’t had a proper cleaning in months — if ever. It should be reported, inspected, and removed from the platform immediately.Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. This isn’t just a bad rental — it’s a potential health and safety hazard.
