Lovely clean and efficient cottage. Pet friendly is a bonus. Everything you need to enjoy your time is there but you choose to bring your own sleeping bags or sheets and towels. Great swimming off the dock in the river. The host is wonderful and most helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

Host is excellent for communicating. Cottage has all we need. Not air condioned but it is in the shade so we were fine with fans. By the river is a nice feature. Would book again.

The cottage was perfect for us.We really enjoyed our stay. We are already from northern Ontario. So we're well aware of the great atmosphere. Everything was made available to us. The host of the cottage was extremely helpful with checking in also with area knowledge. Great for a family getaway.

The river cottage was in a lovely location and was an affordable accommodation in the Muskokas.We stayed for 2 weeks with 4 of us and had plenty of room. The bunkie is a great addition. There were plenty of things in the kitchen for making meals and a nice seating area outdoors for dining outside . A nice place for 4 people or a couple young families.

We all enjoyed our stay at Leslie's cottage by the river. We spent a lot of time lounging on the dock, enjoying the patio set, and canoe and kayaks provided! Leslie's communication was amazing, we even got tips on where to find some really cool waterfalls just minutes away from our location. I slept in the bunkie myself, and found it very comfortable. The kitchen had lots of space, and the kids took advantage of the tv in the living room. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Nicole was an amazing guest she was very respectful of the property took care of compost sufficiently as recommended by the district and left the property neat and tidy. Terrific Guest we would recommend her staying here again.

Leslie is such a nice person and as a host, she communicated very well and responded quickly. There were clear instructions for everything in the cottage.We had a wonderful time here with friends! The cottage is beautiful, clean, and convenient and the location is unique being beside the river and close to trails and waterfalls. Additionally the backyard, barbecue, fireplace and kayaks provided made this a memorable experience for us. We needed to buy bags for garbage. There is Walmart and dollar store nearby (with car) to buy food and necessary things.The only issue we had was that the number of beds in the cottage was 2 while in the listing it is is 3 which for us as a group of 6 made it a little challenging to manage our sleeping spaces.Overall, we had a good experience and I recommend this place.

I loved this house, quite neighborhood, private dock on the river. It was not the most luxurious place, but for my needs, it was almost perfect. The only fault I could find with this house, was there is no laundry facilities on site. This was not a property fault, this was an overlook on my part.

We agree it would be great to have a washer and dryer. We have contemplated pulling out the tub and just having a shower and washer dryer combo but families like having the tub for their kids. Its kind of a catch twenty two. We are very happy you enjoyed yourself. All the best

The location is perfect! Close to everything to do and see in Bracebridge. Though I thought the cottage was right by the water, there is a road you have to cross to get to the dock. We enjoyed the coziness of the cottage, and the kids enjoyed it as well. Neighbours are quiet, definitely not a place to party, but perfect for a family. The host was great at communicating and answered all questions promptly. We agreed it was a little pricey for what you get, but we wished we stayed longer because we did enjoy it. Also there is no fan above the stove, so if u decide to cook make sure you open the windows, and don't forget to bring your own pillows and bedding if u decide to stay here. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

Great getaway

Lovely, clean property directly across from the Muskoka river Nice dock/sitting area to enjoy some reading and relaxing. Ample amenities, just remember (as Leslie reminded me) to bring your own bedding/towels. Firewood is provided as well, but check the weather beforehand, as there were some damp days before I arrived so if you aren't solid at starting fires, bring your own (and some softwood)) There are also neighbors on either side who kept to themselves, as did I so ZERO issues with that. However, if you're looking for a secluded, blare music and be rowdy, this certainly would not be the place for you. Price point was great, Leslie's communication was top notch, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for having me :)

hi...overall the property was ok ...the dock is very sketchy there's a couple spots you could put your foot through and its on a crooked angle ....leading to the water is tricky and "beach"area needs landscaped branches are too low and is full of weeds around the grass leading to dock...thats the main reason we go to cottages to enjoy the water front ...not so much here- the ad lists 4 bedrooms but there are only two....and the "3rd " one is a bunkie ..the mattress is lumpy and is a old futon...very damp/humid in the bunkie..the 4th is a futon in the front room-there's notes everywhere telling you what to do..over the top !-the stove and kitchen needs updated for sure...-the cottage is pet friendly and our dog enjoyed the time up there ...although the dock is way to high above the water and angled/ for her to jump in ...--also,host texted us a 9 pm the night before we were to leave and we were enjoying a movie and asked me to take out the green bin ,recycling and garbage to the road by 630 am..or they would have someone do it in the morning ...(either way we were going to be woken up)so instead of sleeping in a little closer to our check out time at 11 am ..we were up at 530 to do the job...--after paying vrbo ..got a text from host saying "if you need anything they are just a few doors down" i'm sorry but that wasn't listed in the ad no one wants to rent a place near or beside the owner..-all the cottages are way to close to one another ..theres no privacy

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. The river was right across the cottage where we spent the whole day kayaking and canoeing.. The place was clean and all amenities provided. It was a comfortable stay overall. Leslie was prompt in responding to all my questions and also suggested places to visit in the vicinity.Definitely recommend.
