Hurstmere Cottage is 5mins from Matakana. Nestled at the back of our farm, the cottage is surrounded in countryside with tuis, bellbirds and even kookaburras, it is instantaneous relaxation. Connected to the new cycleway you can be into the township or exploring the beaches and countryside with ease. An idyllic location to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sun set. We have horses also on the property, please contact us if you would like to bring your horse(s),
The space
www.hurstmerecottage is part of a 22 acre farm, situated up the back of the property offering full privacy. Expansive views over countryside with garaging, outdoor entertaining,sun loungers, bbq. Free wifi, 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms and loft which sleeps 4. All crisp linen and towels are provided.
Guest access
As it is a working farm with sheep and horses, guests are generally not able to walk into the farm but are able to walk over the farm on the pathways and driveways.
Other things to note
Bring bikes as the cycle way is at the start of our driveway or walk to the top of the hills to Whitmore Rd for wonderful views of Matakana. Alternatively, wander into Matakana Village by road, approx 15-20min walk
Feel free to pat the horses, they love carrots!
