An Amazing Stay in Paradise!

We had a wonderful time at Lush Life! The home and views were spectacular, and the service that Joy and Dom provided was top-notch. If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy pristine natural surroundings with family and friends, this is the place for you. We will certainly be back!

Amazing House

The house and cottages were amazing, near the beach, and many attractions on the island. We had a wonderful time relaxing and spending time together. We would love to go back in the future. The house managers were very helpful with anything we needed and island recommendations.

Private Island Oasis for Thanksgiving

What a wonderful island oasis! Family and friends ranging from 4 to adults gathered together for the thanksgiving holiday. The beach was amazing and felt like your own private island. The house is perfect for multiple families as there are four bedrooms in the main house and a spacious pool cottage. We had a chef delivery and cook food which took the worry out of finding a restaurant to go to. You won’t be disappointed, the house is simply wonderful and can’t wait to come back!

Perfection in Eleuthera

This was my 4th time staying on Eleuthera and by far the best trip we’ve had, largely due to this property. We had a large group, 17 staying at Lush Life and another 10 staying at a property nearby. The house was immaculate upon arrival and we had several of those “better than the pictures moments” across the group when we walked in. It’s obvious the owners take exceptional care of the property. There was more than enough space for kids and adults to spread out, and despite being one of the best beaches on the island, we basically had the entire stretch of sand to ourselves all week. Because of the small island nearby, the beach area offered protection from the current and wind so that our children could swim and snorkel safely, and we actually found that the reef structures surrounding the island were teeming with life. Dominic and Joy were true professionals and highly responsive each time we had a question. In short, if you are looking for a premier property on Eleuthera, look no further.

Lush Life

1Every year, a group of 14 friends rents a villa in the Caribbean, and this year we stayed at Lush Life. We would definitely return in the future, as it is a wonderful place—one of the best beaches we have experienced, if not the best.The house itself is great, but it does need some repairs; all the screens need to be replaced, and the Wi-Fi was not very reliable (they had just switched systems). There were a few other minor issues, but overall, it was a fantastic place.We did encounter problems with noseeums, which are similar to mosquitoes, and they can be quite vicious at sunset and sunrise. However, the property manager was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Living the Lush Life

Lush Life outdid our wildest dreams for a fabulous family beach vacation. The house was decorated beautifully, spacious rooms that fit all 18 of us at the same time. It was our first family trip outside the US and we ranged in age from 4mos to 69. The beachfront was truly breathtaking and the pink sand stunning. The caretaker could not have been more kind and helpful and attended to everything we needed promptly. The property managers were so helpful and quick with responses to all our question even before we got Eleuthera. They made us feel so comfortable with all their knowledge of the island. This is a place we all will return to. Truly magnificent!!

The BEST Managers/Hosts EVER!!! We would have been lost without them!!!

The property was beautiful, the grounds were beautifully kept…: the beach was amazing! Once again…. The HOSTS Joy and Dom were top notch! We would have liked to seen more of the island, but that was not in the cards…this time! But in reality…we had everything we needed to be happy! Trip to Paradise!

We had a beautiful two-week stay in the lovely VRBO called Lush Life on the island of Eleuthra! The first 8 days was spent with our three sons, their wives and 6 of our 7 grand-children and the last 6 days were spent with 2 high school friends and their spouses. The pictures do not do this lovely place justice…it is gorgeous and very well maintained! Hard to believe it’s 25 years old. Also, not mentioned in the listing (I don’t believe) is the sweet caretaker who lives in a home there on site. He took care of keeping the outside looking pristine and keeping all the beach towels clean. The guest cottages were adorable and our kids really enjoyed staying in there! We all had our own washers and dryers to use. Lastly, let me give a shout out to Joy and Dom who manage this home. They were super sweet and helpful. Joy recommended several people that we ended up using (she emailed the best options). Precious Cooper did all of our cooking at the house and she truly lived up to her name!! I tried to take her home with me!!! Marsha Clark was super helpful renting us nice, clean, and in good-shape vehicles to use. Big Mac Fishing was our go-to for two days of snorkeling and sandbar visits and one day of fishing (with great results)! All-in-all it was a wonderful visit!

Lush Life is Plush!

Of all the family vacations and rental properties, Lush Life in Eleuthera, Governor's Harbor, Bahamas, was, by far, above and beyond our expectations and satisfaction. Prior to the trip, we began communicating with Joy Thompson, the property manager, who provided us with really helpful and useful information that helped us prepare for the trip and be as organized as possible for an island vacation. Ultimately, we switched to communicating via Whats App and Joy responded immediately every time. We also spoke on the phone with her and got the lay of the land regarding groceries, alcohol, Chefs, markets, etc. When we arrived, Joy and her partner, Dom, met us at the house and even brought some essential food and alcohol items due to our later arrival- to get us to the next morning when we could go grocery shopping. Very helpful and thoughtful. Throughout our stay, Joy was attentive and responsive- again, above and beyond. The groundskeeper was very attentive and helpful. He always changed out our towels each day; set up chairs and umbrellas every morning on the beach; and made sure our water filter was always filled with fresh water. A mid-week cleaning was unexpected but very needed and appreciated. The house was spotless again which was helpful because of all the sand (as careful as we were to rinse before going inside). Staying at Lush Life felt like a concierge rental. The amenities in the house were fantastic. A 10+ rating and 5 Stars. We will definitely return to Lush Life.
