This was my first time staying in a yurt but I knew that it would be rougher than a hotel room. This was also a working vineyard so the noise from a tractor could be heard during the day, but I left and played tourist while the sun was up. The views are good and the location they decided to place the yurts was also good. The yurts are a little close together in an upper row and lower row, but even when a large family occupied several of the other yurts, I felt I had some privacy. Now the bad- The yurts are made of a heavy vinyl and get very warm in the sun. There is an AC unit but it takes a long time to cool the inside on a hot day. Each yurt has its own bathroom attached, either using some of the floor space or (I'm assuming the newer ones) the bathroom extends out from the yurt so no floor space is lost. However, the bathrooms are wet-baths like in some RVs. This means there is a central drain for the shower and so the whole bathroom floor gets wet. I'm pretty relaxed and just used some of the supplied slippers to step on the wet floor, but some might find this too inconvenient. If you want to be near night life or restaurants, this is not the location for you. It's about a 20 minute drive from Salmon Arm. Parking by the yurts might also be an issue. I was on a motorcycle so I could fit between the yurts. But when the family was staying near me, they had a large van that looked like it blocked the access road to some of the other yurts.
