Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A quiet 3 acre property overlooking Mount Ida just minutes away from downtown Salmon Arm.
The space
Welcome to the Shuswap.
Chappelle ridge overlooking Mount Ida.
This brand new carriage house is pet friendly with 3 full acres to roam. Located 12 min from downtown Salmon Arm.
Watch the sun go down over Mount IDA. A truly amazing view.
We easily sleep up to six . Two on the queen size bed in the bedroom and four on the two double pullout couches in the main room. It’s equipped with everything you might need after you’ve enjoyed a day on the water or snow. You can do all these things within a few minutes drive.


30 mins from Vernon.
1 hour 15 from the Kelowna or Kamloops airports.

One bedroom carriage house, sleeps 46, 1000 sq feet sitting above the garage.
3 acres of land for pets and parking
Other things to note
The closest peaks for skiing and mountain biking are Silver Star, Sun Peaks, and Revelstoke.
Farm markets in Salmon Arm every Saturday April- October.
Wineries surround us as well as cideries and craft breweries. We are a 5 min drive to Larch Hills Winery. You can also hike or bike there.

Nordic ski trails are open all year for hikes, cross country or snowshoeing. You will often see horses enjoying these same trails. Located a 12 min drive away.

Canoe beach and Gardom Lake are a 15 min drive. Gardom lake is best known for watching many turtles and birds taking in the sun. You can get great photos from your canoe or paddle board.

Jim was very friendly and asked if we needed anything that wasn’t there. The carriage house kitchen was well equipped. The large shower was nice and there was plenty of hot water. The views are wonderful of the valley below.

A lovely light, spacious place that is well-equipped for comfort. After a long day on the road we were able to fix dinner and relax as if we'd been at home. We look forward to staying there again. Thanks to our host, Jim, for a very pleasant stay.

The space worked well for our weekend in town for a wedding. The main bed quite comfortable, the pull out couch fine, but the couch that converts into a bed wasn’t comfortable bc of all the seams and there’s no topper for it. Also doesn’t fit adults well. Maybe better for kids. Hosts were welcoming. Extra bedding and towels available. Kitchen had what we needed for some light meals in. Lovely view! Be careful on stairs they wobble when you go up and down.

Very tranquil and peaceful location. Was very clean, with no lack for sheets or towels. Stairs up are a little wobbly, so people that don't like heights may not feel comfortable entering the apartment. Would stay again if travelling through Salmon Arm

We had a great stay. Jim is a very responsive host and they took great care of us. We only stayed for one night but the place looks well suited for a longer stay, which would be peaceful and relaxing. The view of the surrounding mountains is beautiful!

Gorgeous location

Location of property is beautiful. Calming and relaxing. Excellent view to start your day. Host was very responsive and everything was provided in the property to make our stay comfortable and cozy. Will return!

Fabulous suite, and views!

We had a great visit. Jim and Lorelei’s suite is spacious, bright and comfortable (the bed was lovely). We had everything we needed. We appreciated the motion lights for when we came home after dark. Highly recommended. Would love to stay again next time we’re in the area. Thanks again!

Suggestions

While the accommodations were great and the view was excellent, there were a few small things that we thought could be improved. These are not complaints - just suggestions. It would be helpful to mention in the listing that there are no grocery stores nearby Shower stall slippery – some sort of anti-skid mat should used Bar of soap in the bathroom would be nice 2 bedside lights in bedroom Couldn’t figure out the bathroom heat Couldn’t figure out the gas fireplace More lights in the living room with long cords to use at bedside at night Kitchen sink tap is loose None of these things took away from the enjoyment of our stay! Perfect family meet up spot

Simply everything we needed, in the oerfect location for us to meet and from there head out to local adventuring! Warm hosts who made themselves available whike also leaving us to our own space. Felt like ‘home’ away from home!
