Everything was easy. Hot tubs were full of drunks when we tried to go but that was the only negative

Our stay at Mountain Side D177 was outstanding. What a great location and had all the amenities we needed. We hope to stay there again. There are a few things we believe could be improved. * The unit wasn't as clean as we hoped for. There was coffee stain on the kitchen counter and dirt and dust under the bedroom tables, etc.* Please look for a better shower curtain mechanism. The old spring rod is not the best, fell down on us several times. * There could be better quality towels and paper towels and toilet tissue.* The living room furniture could be updated.Please don't get me wrong, these are just suggestions for improvements. We very much appreciated staying in the condo and enjoyed it immensely. Thank you very much.

The unit was quiet and the location was walkable to Main Street and close to walking trails. Unfortunately the living room furniture is in bad shape. There are stains and tears. The unit was supposed to sleep 6 with a pull out sofa. The mattress on the sofa had springs popping out of the side and holes in the bottom. We only had 5 people for one night The 5th guest was able to sleep on the sofa without the mattress out. The deck was very nice for morning coffee but had only 3 plastic chairs. It would have been nice to have a more comfortable arrangement to completely enjoy the cool summer mornings and evenings. We did throughly enjoy the large community hot tubs. That was a big plus.

I’m very sorry about the condition of the living room furniture and the pull-out mattress — that is not acceptable. I’ve passed this on to our maintenance and housekeeping teams to prioritize repair or replacement of the sofa and mattress. We’ll also add more comfortable seating on the deck so guests can fully enjoy the mornings and evenings. We appreciate you calling out these issues — guest reports like yours help us keep the property in better shape. Stayed Sat-Sat, hiking daily. Condo spacious enough for a family of 6 adults, but was advertised as SLEEPING 6. I thought that meant comfortably. The King was great, and the 2 twins were very firm, but passable. The sofa sleeper was crap: thin, old, 2 springs stuck out the side & scraped my calf to bleeding, could feel the bedsprings, and 2 people rolled inward. I (69) tried sleeping on 2 sofa cushions on the floor 1 night (awful), one tried sleeping out in our rental Suburban one night (awful) and same one slept on the sleeper as a couch (not as a bed, and slept slightly better). GWLodging very slow to respond to my complaints/pix over the week. Last email from them was TH when there. We left Sat., and had I not emailed them the Tues after we returned, I doubt I would have heard from them again. I've spent a week emailing GWL and speaking with VRBO, trying to get about 1/3 of our condo cost reimbursed, thinking that fair, since 1/3 of our family of 6 adults had compromised sleep the whole week. Though apologetic, GWL only refunded 15%. I escalated to VRBO, who refunded another 12%, for a total of 27%, not the 30% I hoped for. However, GWL did deem the mattress bad enough to replace for the NEXT guests (so they said): bad enough to replace, but not bad enough to refund more for compromised sleep! Quiet surroundings, kitchen was supplied, bathrooms nice, but unit needs more hooks for 6 wet bath towels. Appreciated the hot tub and the on-site laundry.
