Kyoto Hideaway: Modern & Traditional Fusion

Experience the perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional Japanese charm. This newly remodeled home offers the convenience of a contemporary living space and the peaceful atmosphere of a Japanese-style bedroom.

The home was fully renovated in 2025 and features brand-new furniture and modern appliances throughout. The first floor offers a comfortable Western-style layout with a cozy sofa, a 65-inch TV (Netflix subscription included), and a dining area with a well-equipped kitchen. There are two separate shower rooms, one of which includes a bathtub. You’ll also have full access to a washer and dryer during your stay. Laundry detergent is provided, along with a retractable clothesline for hang-drying delicate items.

The second floor features a traditional Japanese-style layout with tatami flooring. While many accommodations in Kyoto provide only futons, we’ve chosen to offer comfortable mattresses so you can rest more easily. A restroom has also been added upstairs for your convenience, so you won’t need to go downstairs during the night. With premium mattresses and blackout curtains, you’ll enjoy a peaceful and restful sleep after a full day exploring Kyoto.

The location is ideal for travelers who want easy access to the city and beyond. You’ll be within walking distance of three major stations:

• Saiin Station (Hankyu Line) – About a 10-minute walk away, provides direct access to downtown Kyoto in one direction and Osaka in the other, as well as a convenient route to Arashiyama, one of Kyoto’s most beloved destinations.

• JR Tambaguchi Station – About a 13-minute walk away, Just two stops from Kyoto Station, where you can easily catch the Shinkansen or other JR lines.

• Nijo Station – About a 15-minute walk away, connecting you to the Kyoto Subway system for smooth travel around the city.
