The Royal Kahana is located in Maui’s designated hotel zone, where short-term rentals are fully permitted and not impacted by Bill 9 restrictions that you may have seen in the news. Guests can book with confidence knowing these regulations do not affect stays at this property.

A Final Note
We do our best to create a wonderful Maui experience for every guest and are always happy to help if anything comes up during your stay. That said, there are occasionally things outside of our control—like weather, utility interruptions, or nearby construction noise—that can happen from time to time.

Maui is a tropical island, so you may also see some local wildlife such as roosters, geckos, or insects. The resort has a regular pest control program in place, but it’s still possible for the occasional bug or small lizard to make an appearance, even in well-kept spaces.
