Sugarberry House｜Heart of Downtown Charlottetown

Unwind in a newly built, thoughtfully designed, traditional East Coast style home, ideally located in downtown Charlottetown, and just a short walk to the Waterfront. Enjoy the chef's kitchen, cozy backyard dining area, open concept living and three comfortable bedrooms. This is the ideal home for taking in Charlottetown and all the Island has to offer!

This is a licensed PEI Tourism Prince Edward Island Property #1201068

The Sugarberry House was built right in the heart of an historic neighbourhood in the city centre.  The main floor boasts a spacious living room with a fireplace and sliding doors to the walk out patio. There’s a bright, new open-plan kitchen with a cooking island, so the chef will never feel separated from conversations; a dining room; a cozy reading den and a half bath on the ground floor. For a little personal down time, there is both cable and Netflix.

The second floor has three well-appointed, comfortable bedrooms.  Two of them feature queen beds. The master bedroom has cable television and Netflix. A third bedroom is set up with twin beds.  All beds have high quality mattresses and linens and the rooms have good storage for your clothes. The full bathroom on this floor also conveniently houses a washer and dryer.

Enjoy comfortable temperatures and filtered air year round. This home is equipped with AC on both levels and an air exchanger throughout.

There is a lovely front porch and also a back deck set up for you to enjoy outdoor dining on warm summer days and evenings. It features a barbecue, table, chairs and umbrella, all conveniently near the kitchen and just a step down to the garden.

This house is located in the coveted heritage area of downtown Charlottetown on historic Hillsborough Square Park, one of the oldest squares in Charlottetown, designed and completed in 1771.

This property was just a joy to stay in for comfort, amenities, cleanliness and location. Our hosts were thorough in providing everything for a relaxing stay, and welcoming and responsive overall. Located within a 10 minute walk from just about all the attractions and restaurants. Perfect stay!

This house was clean and had everything needed for your stay. We mainly ate out during our trip, but anytime I was looking for something in the kitchen it was there. The house is ideally located to walk anywhere in the downtown core.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is conveniently located and well appointed. We walked easily to many places we wanted to see. It was also extremely clean. Dave and Mei went above and beyond to answer any questions and ensure we had what we needed. Highly recommend for a Charlottetown visit.

Beautiful well-kept property in a great location! Easy walk downtown, to the harbor, and to tons of shops and restaurants. The hsot was very communicative, and the entire process was incredibly smooth.

This is a great gem of a location! Highly recommend. It was perfect for our stay - we were two couples. We enjoyed our morning walks to water front and food district. The afternoon sun on front veranda was awesome. Would stay again. Our host very responsive! Thank you we will be back!

We had a lovely stay. The space was modern and clean. They have AC but there is nice breeze with windows open. Charlottetown is very walkable. You are near the waterfront, shops, and restaurants. Our hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend.

Excellent location. Great property. Wonderful host, kind, quick and responsive. All amenities as expected and then some, very nice there was even little surprises for our kids as well. Overall it was an excellent stay.

The property was extremely clean, well furnished, very comfortable and very well equipped with cooking utensils, pots/pans, dishes, beach furniture, BBQ, outdoor furniture, etc. The beds were comfortable and the towels were lush. There was really nothing missing. The hosts stayed in touch and left some wonderful and much appreciated treats including the most delicious loaf of bread that we have ever eaten.The location was walking distance to the downtown, waterfront and close to many excellent restaurants.Had a wonderful visit to Charlottetown. We’re Dave McGavin and Mei Li, the husband-and-wife team behind our property management business here on beautiful Prince Edward Island.

Dave is originally from Toronto, Ontario, and brings years of hands-on property management experience from both Toronto and PEI. Alongside his real estate work, he is also a dedicated tennis coach and has been proud to call PEI home since 2011.

Mei Li is originally from Guilin, China and has a strong background in business, supported by her MBA. She moved to PEI in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the island’s charm and welcoming community.

Together, we share a genuine appreciation for the gentle island lifestyle. What we enjoy most about our work is the opportunity to meet and support guests who are excited to explore—or simply unwind on—this beautiful island we’re fortunate to call home.
