Salt water swimming pool on the premise with wrap around porch attached to house. The porch is equipped with six comfortable rocking chairs that can be moved to the screened portion of the porch when sitting out at night or during the mid afternoon when the sun moves to the west side of the house

My cleaning staff informed me that Briana left the house in Excellent shape. She informed me of several issues that I was not aware of and that would help me in the future. Definitely welcomed to stay anytime.

This property is large, comfortable, and a fantastic space. It was a perfect fit for our large group. Unfortunately, the week we were there the downstairs A/C was not working, but the homeowner was responsive and helpful along the way. The A/C was repaired halfway through our trip. The only other challenge is that the trash has to be driven off-site. There are no on-site trash receptacles. I would have preferred that be communicated in the listing of the property. These are the only reasons I can't give 5 stars.Otherwise, I would still highly recommend the property, and should the opportunity arise, would not hesitate to book again in the future.

The house was beautiful! Rooms were huge, along with all bathrooms. Huge living/ TV area with lots of seating everywhere. The AC broke for 2nd floor but Franklin got them out the next day and they fixed it right away! Pool was nice and big, only complaint was the bugs in the pool. The pool could have been cleaner, but when the pool guy came 3 days into our week, he made it cleaner and clearer. But it truly wasn't that bad to begin with. We just don't like bugs!!! Deck seating and multiple umbrellas were great for hanging outside, at any time. Kitchen was nice and well equipped You have to take your own garbage to the dump 3 miles away, which we did not like at all.

We enjoyed hosting Jennifer and her group. My cleaning staff indicated to me that the place was left in good shape. They did have a dog that appeared to have been well trained. We apologize for the short inconvenience of the ac being down. We thank you for your patience and cooperation in allowing the technician to come in and do the necessary repairs. Since you checked out on Sunday, the normal trash dump did not open until 2pm. The regular one is much closer to the house. The house instructions document states the hours of operation. Again thanks for staying with us and we would gladly welcome you to stay with us during your next visit to Cape Charles.

My wife and I are both retired educators. We have been married for 48 years and have five children and 10 wonderful grands. We have resided in Virginia Beach, Petersburg and Richmond Virginia. We have also lived and worked in Dayton Ohio and the District of Columbia. Upon retirement, we decided to move back to our home state of Virginia.
