Overall we had a lovely stay whilst in Perth, however there were several things we weren’t impressed with. The main one being that the host was watching us when we left the house and would turn off the air conditioner. So we would come back to a house that was stifling hot (over 45 degrees) and it would take hours to cool it down. When you are paying a lot of money for a house, you have every right to use the facilities that it is provided with. To be watched (and have our air conditioner turned off) was a major invasion of privacy. Once I figured out how she was doing it (via the remote home setting on the tablet), I disabled the remote access and then we had no issues with the aircon being turned off. But it did put a major dampener on our stay as it is not nice to know that you’re being watched every single time you leave the house. I’m also assuming we were the first people to stay at this property as the recliner lounges weren’t plugged in, there was plastic on everything and tags still on items that were in the bathroom. We also had to sweep the entire house as the movers (or whoever it was) hadn’t cleaned up after themselves. It was nice to have milk, bottled water, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper and clothes detergent available and the house is in an easily accessible suburb to what we needed.
