Relax and Enjoy the Million Dollar Views of the East Bay Area; Entire Guesthouse

The Overlook Guesthouse is a gated 815 square foot studio plus 276 square foot porch with 1,110 square foot deck (2,201 total sq ft of outdoor/indoor living) with a private driveway completed in 2023. Large marble island, kitchenette with marble countertops, queen size bed plus comfortable full size futon bed, desk, and table. Nestled behind a gate, this Casita has views from the Bay Bridge to the San Mateo Bridge, mountain views, and a view of San Francisco. Quiet, secure, and very private including your own private yard. Your closest neighbor will be approximately 200 feet away. This is a very quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors including law enforcement officials who are often seen outside washing their vehicles or BBQing with their families. We are 10 mins from BART and 10 mins from Cal State East Bay. We live in the main home approximately 200 feet away. The lot has 24/7 video recording on premises which is monitored to detect unwanted parties/events, and we are available anytime for any issues that may arise.

Maximum four guest allowed. Additional guest require a charge of $25 per person per night. No smoking/no parties/events. $1,500 fee for violating smoking rule or having a party/event.

The studio Casita sits on top of 1.4 acres. The lot is divided by a deer fence. The main house sits on 20,000+ square feet while the guesthouse sits on a separate 30,000+ square foot lot.

Parking is available inside the gate or, for vehicles with a low clearance, right outside the gate; upon entry there is a steep stair case. This unit is not suitable for people with disabilities, young children, or elderly persons.

*No refunds for being evicted for violating house rules.
*24/7 security camera.
*No parties/events = no dinner parties, no baby showers, no gender reveal parties, no repast, no birthday parties, etc, no exceptions.

Fabulous Stay*

This is the 2nd time I have stayed on this property. The owners are wonderful to work with. The property is quiet, clean, organized and the pictures do not do it justice! Very large welcoming space inside and the outdoor wrap around deck is heaven. The views are picturesque. I will definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Getaway

This property is clean and located in a peaceful setting with million dollar views, as advertised. Although remote, it still has easy access to all freeways, only 30 min. to SFO Airport. Well equipped for the in- and outdoor living spaces.

Clean comfortable with great views!

I stayed here on a solo retreat. It was the perfect place for me; clean, comfortable and had amazing views. The kitchen had all the appliances you will need. The fridge is medium sized, which fit my food perfectly. But if you travel with all your food or are a group and have a lot of food to keep cool you might need an ice chest.

This very spacious, beautiful, stand-alone, private guest house is a calm oasis at the top of a hill. Overlooking the main house, one does not feel any issues of privacy. The owners have gone through great lengths to provide everything a guest would need. Every detail is thoughtful and one feels very well taken care of upon arrival. Some notable & beautiful elements: a wrap around deck, the lovely artwork, giant marble countertops, a big portable speaker, every kitchen gadget you can think of, plus the super, fun ambient lighting on the inside and out, the indoor fireplace, heater and the outdoor fire pit. Last but not least the most epic and stunning views of the bay, SF and the surrounding cities with colorful & vibrant sunsets that change every 10 minutes, every night!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Stay in Hayward

Overall, everything was as advertised. We enjoyed the large sliding doors to let fresh air in and take in the views. The large deck was a wonderful place to relax. The host took care of a lot of little details that sometimes get overlooked at short-term rentals. There was plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner, paper towels in the kitchen, etc. Communication back and forth was a breeze which also made the process smooth. I would stay there again if we were in the area.

The view is amazing!

We went to Hayward to visit family. This was the perfect spot for us to enjoy our evenings. The views were amazing. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. The outside area was truly AMAZING. I wish we'd had better weather so we could've enjoyed it more. On clear nights you can see the bay bridge and SF beautifully. Host was easy to communicate with and the house rules were simple and reasonable.

Towel issues

The area and view was breathtaking. The most important things such as, bedding and toiletries could use lots of improvement. Bedding was horrible, old blankets and pillows. Pillows were horrible.. Bed was pretty hard. Futon was very hard also. Towels and wash cloths were the worst I’ve ever used in a rental. The smell on the towels were horrible. The wash cloths were dark in color with bleach stains. I could not believe this beautiful rental lacked so much in blankets, and towels. The towels did not even wrap around my body, they were so little and OLD!!!
