Rhoda's Place is a cozy, welcoming two-bedroom apartment in downtown St. John’s, perfectly situated just steps from our best restaurants, lively nightlife, and cultural highlights as in 'The Rooms' (no more than a few minutes walk up the street).
This prime location offers easy access to George Street, The Convention Centre and the historic charm of the St. John's core, making it an ideal base for exploring the city's vibrant atmosphere.
As you step into the living room, you'll find a space carefully arranged to promote relaxation and comfort. A smart TV is ready for entertainment, while a selection of books and games are thoughtfully placed for your enjoyment.
The primary bedroom features a dreamy Queen-sized bed and a full closet for all your unpacking and settling in needs. As well, this bedroom offers access to the private, fully fenced backyard - and through there access to your own laundry room, strictly for your use during your stay.
The secondary bedroom offers a comfy Double-sized bed and smaller closet with generous space to move around and make your own.
Rhoda's kitchen is thoughtfully equipped and fully functional, providing everything needed for a comfortable vacation. It includes essential items like dish cloths, towels, cutlery, a microwave, and a toaster. The kitchen also features a full oven, a refrigerator, and a microwave, ensuring you have all the tools necessary to prepare meals with ease.
You have a dedicated dining area designed for meals, but it’s also flexible enough to double as a space for games, puzzles, or a simple, functional desk setup for work when needed—making it a versatile hub for dining, play, and productivity during your stay.
And lastly, unwind in a charming four-piece bathroom complete with a full-sized tub—perfect for soaking away the day’s adventures after exploring the city.

A short drive away is Signal Hill featuring iconic Cabot tower, bespoke Quidi Vidi Village (https://atlantictraveller.com/quidi-vidi-nl/) with hiking trails, eating and sightseeing attractions; some are seasonal (like cod jigging with 'QV Charters'). As well, you are steps away from the iconic Rooms (therooms.ca). The Postmasters Bakery, Coffee Matters and more, are all within easy walking distance or a short drive from your home away from home.
Rhoda's Place area is home to many unique characters and visitors. Keep in mind that this downtown location is part of a lively, vibrant city with all the energy and atmosphere that comes with it.
St. John’s is widely regarded as safe, especially compared to larger urban centers, but as in any downtown area, it's wise to stay aware of your surroundings—particularly at night or on busy streets like George Street.
Use common sense; lock doors at all times, avoid isolated areas after dark and enjoy the city’s dynamic charm with joy and confidence.
We offer complimentary on-street parking - usually available right outside your door, just a few steps away for easy unloading and access.
We do ask that this parking pass be returned at the end of your stay or we must charge 100$ for replacement cost.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire apartment. Rhoda's Place is one apartment unit in a triplex, and we kindly ask all guests to be considerate of neighbors to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone.
Guest should purchase their own insurance for their stay, or for in the case of emergency cancelation, if such coverage is desired beyond our clearly stated cancelation policy.
Legalese: The Guest and any of their guests hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner and Property Manager against all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from the use of the premises regardless of the nature of the incident, injury, or loss. The Guest expressly recognizes that any insurance for property damage or loss which the Owner may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of the Guest.
