The Space:

Tucked among the gums on 27 acres of peaceful Australian bushland, Bertha's offers something a little different from the traditional beach house — plenty of privacy and space, with the coast still within easy walking distance via a bush track.



The property takes its name from “Big Bertha”, an impressive Sydney Blue Gum estimated to be between 200 and 400 years old, adding a special sense of history to this unique bush setting.



Accommodation is split between the main house and a separate studio, making it particularly well suited to families, two couples travelling together or guests who appreciate having a little extra privacy.



The main house is relaxed and comfortable, with a practical kitchen, living and dining area, Wi-Fi and everything needed for an easy stay.

The main house also includes the family bathroom along with washing and drying facilities.



Set separately from the main house, the studio provides a private space for two guests with a king bed, open living area and reverse-cycle air conditioning.



Outside, the timber deck looks through the surrounding bushland and is a beautiful place to start the morning with coffee, settle in with a book or enjoy a quiet afternoon surrounded by the sounds of the bush.



There is also a hot and cold outdoor shower and an additional outdoor toilet.



One of Bertha's biggest attractions is the setting. Although the home is not beachfront, the ocean can be reached via a short bush walk from the property, giving you the best of both worlds — a secluded bush retreat with the coast close by.



Pets are welcome, so your four-legged family members don't have to miss out on the trip.

Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring Long Beach, Batemans Bay and the wider Eurobodalla region.



From the property, guests can walk towards the coast via the bush track, so you don't necessarily need to get in the car every time you want to head towards the water.



The home itself is set back within the acreage, providing a wonderfully private bushland atmosphere away from busier residential areas.
