Hiawatha @ Kimar's Resort Lk SUP

A quaint, cozy cabin just a 30 second walk to Superior with free kayaks/canoes. Centrally located between Marquette and Munising (Pictured Rocks) on 2 lakes, you can easily enjoy the beauty of the U.P. on site or with a short drive. From the property you can paddle, rock hunt, watch eagles, Northern lights, meteor showers, and the sunrise and set over the water. We also have a charter fishing service on site to catch lake trout. The nearest restaurant, the Brownstone, is just 5 min away!

You do not have a direct view of the lake from the cabin, but the property contains 300' of Lake Superior shoreline.

Our resort amenities include a public pavilion, firepit, and shared deck overlooking the lake for Superior views.

I am located at the same property and am available anytime you need me. I like to allow guests to initiate how much interaction they would prefer with me as the host.

We have a 7 rental resort in a small bay of Lake Superior known as Shelter Bay. We also have a charter fishing service on site

The cottage was very cute and the pavilion area had a great set-up. Great view from the fire pit/beach area. Canoes were available to take out and great area to rock-hunt.

Cute Little Hideaway

This cabin was the perfect size for my fiancé and myself. Right in the middle between Marquette and Munising, this made our stay the perfect launch point for many vacation adventures.

Great Hospitality and History

This multi-generational property has a really cool backstory and history. The owner was responsive and the check-in/out process was easy. A good halfway location between Munising and Marquette, this felt like the full upper peninsula experience.

Great Location

The Cabin is small but cozy, not a big view of the Lake from the Cabin, but with a short walk to the boathouse the lake is absolutely stunning. The property is located pretty much directly between Munising and Marquette, so you can do day trips to either very easily!

Great weekend away

We had a nice time checking out the beautiful UP. Close to pictured rocks where we spent lots of time. The bed was not the most comfortable, but not terrible. Nice location to explore the area. Really enjoyed dinner at The Blackrocks nearby. Definitely a hidden gem!

Great property on the shore of Lake Superior. Swimming, rock picking, kayaking right outside your door. WiFi and Direct TV. Comfy and cozy. Very clean! Sara is a great host!

Cute vintage cabins

We enjoyed our brief stay in Kimars Cottages. Unfortunately, we arrived after dark and left early the next morning, so we were unable to use any of the fun amenities like kayaks and the pavilion. Communication and check-in were super easy. The clean cottages are simple and vintage with everything you need for your stay. We hope to stay again when we have more time.

Very happy with our stay

Sarah was very kind and attentive. She made sure our stay was very pleasant and even got us a bottle of wine and a card to congratulate us on our marriage. The property was clean and the view of the bay from the deck is absolutely gorgeous! We even saw one of the most breath taking rainbows arching over the bay. Mosquitoes stayed outside.

Everything was cozy. I enjoyed the couch on the front porch. Mosquitoes were terrible, as expected, but once you got in the cottage they were gone. I don't know how they did that, but it was great.

Beautiful location!

Had a great stay! Bring your own coffee. Rock hunting isn't possible on this location's shoreline. Very cutely decorated but very uncomfortable beds. This, however, may be because both my partner and I are heavy set. Was very happy with how clean the rental was. Sarah was there to warmly greet us! Thanks Kimar's!

Coolest cottages ever

This place is beyond cool. These are your typical cute cottages, with all of the memory stirring vibes you want. Sarah, the owner, greeted us when we arrived, and a really cool friendship formed instantly. She is so cool to talk to, and always can help you with anything. You will see her and her family everywhere, all the time. She hooked us up a few times for help! The grounds are cool, with a "help yourself to anything you want" attitude, including free use of a canoe and two kayaks. There for the using! This family owned business is awesome. We already miss staying there, and Captain Dave and his crew!
