My wife, our dog and I had an excellent stay at the Checkerboard guest house in Cobourg. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and as advertised, and was only about 2km from downtown. Our host, Tish, was easily available and responsive to our requests. We needed a pet friendly place, and this fit the bill perfectly!

Beautiful cottage style, didn't use the hottub, bed is very comfortable set in an 1870's mansion, interesting bit of history in the guest book. Great water pressure. Very friendly and pleasant land lady. Definitely great place to stay. Will be back again
