First of all it was NOT clean!! Dust on top of base boards and many other places. We had to clean the kitchen surfaces before we could use it. So much left over food in the frig and cupboards!!! How gross! 2 nights out of 5 we had no A/C. Storm caused electric outage, generator didn't work! Called the host, nothing but excuses! Our last night the A/C just didn’t cool. Called the host again, nothing but excuses again!! Totally ridiculous!Such a beautiful cabin that is being run into the ground. It is dirty. The deck and enclosed porches were all filthy. We spent 7600.00, we at least expected the place to be clean!!! We’re wondering if the hose gets a bonus if she doesn’t have to spend a lot of money on cleaning and repairs? The scenery, the river, and I’m sure the cabin was beautiful at one point, not anymore. There were actually dead bugs laying on the large window type seat in the living room, along with a boatload of dust.All the windows were dirty. The towels and washcloths looked like they came from Goodwill. I’m not trying to be snooty, but shouldn’t we have at least had decent towels and washcloths? The ovens were filthy. The range top had not been cleaned. Part of the things that are supposed to be done before we leave is to tidy up. Well, let me tell you tidying up takes place of someone in there cleaning. I would never go back there again. I was so excited to take my family there, but as it turned out, I was embarrassed.
