A perfect long term stay in Geneva

Catherine’s place has been perfect for the few months that I am in Geneva. She is an accommodating and generous host, very helpful and kind. Although you share the space with others it feels perfectly private and independent. Good central area, close to transit and very walkable.

Excellent welcoming host

Catherine and her family were so welcoming during my first time in Geneva. The flat is quite nice and centrally located and was excellent for a longer stay. If there were any maintenance issues, they were promptly fixed. It is a shared flat but the rooms allow for a lot of privacy. Merci!

Très bon séjour

L'appartement est idéalement situé au cœur de Genève ce qui permet de parcourir la ville très facilement à pied ou en transports publics. Catherine est une hôtesse très sympathique avec qui il est facile de communiquer. La chambre était très agréable, spacieuse avec des rangements et un grand bureau. Et j'avais une grande salle-de-bains privée. Si vous désirez partager un moment avec une famille genevoise et rencontrer d'autres personnes venant du monde entier, allez-y les yeux fermés!

great overall stay

Staying with Catherine and her family was overall pretty good – the only thing I would say is that I did face a pretty significant amount of street harassment in the neighborhood around the apartment as a woman walking around, primarily at night but definitely also during the day at times.

Découvrir Genève grâce à ses habitants

Louer une chambre chez une famille genevoise est une solution fort agréable pour un séjour à Genève ! Le soir de mon arrivée j'ai été accueillie chaleureusement par les autres locataires (très sympathiques, tous provenants de pays différents) qui m'ont servi du poulet Massala! Et j'ai eu droit à un café-croissant aux amendes en guise du petit déjeuner parmi les camélias et les roses de la terrasse quand la maîtresse de la maison est rentrée de son voyage. J'ai fait tous mes trajets à pied, en traversant un beau parc (un ancien cimetière) quand j'allais au colloque à l'université ! Merci, Catherine, pour cet accueil....

Great for a short or long term stay

Big spacious bedroom with a desk and room to work if needed. Private bathroom and kitchenette with all the cooking utensils required. Great location where you can walk or ride (bike available to use) around Geneva. Catherine is also a great and friendly host that will be able to help you with any questions you may have. Highly recommended.

Convenient location and great host

I am very pleased to have stayed there. This is a cozy loft in a separate area within a larger apartment. It has everything a traveler might need: a private room, restroom, work/office space, and a small but equipped kitchen. Its location is perfect. It's within walking distance to Plainpalais, the University of Geneva, and the old town area; there's also plenty of good restaurants around. The bus/tram stop at Stand is just 4 minutes away and connects you to pretty much anywhere in Geneva and its surroundings. On top of that, Catherine is a superb host. She is super nice and attentive to her guests' needs.
