Yarnbala Guesthouse in Coffin Bay | Overlooking Coffin Bay National Park

Set within the private sanctuary of Yarnbala, the guesthouse offers a quiet, light-filled retreat designed to sit gently within its surroundings, framed by native woodland and soft coastal light.

Constructed from hand-shaped limestone blocks - one of the oldest and most enduring building materials - the exterior provides natural thermal comfort while reflecting the tones of the surrounding landscape. Reclaimed hardwood timber posts and ironbark decking complement the limestone, creating an earthy, grounded aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the environment.

Inside, a palette of natural timber, gentle tones, and considered simplicity creates a calm and grounding atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

Spanning 54 square metres of indoor and outdoor living, the guesthouse is designed for couples or individuals seeking space to slow down. It features a beautifully appointed bedroom, a refined bathroom, and an open, easy-flowing layout that connects effortlessly to the outdoors. Large windows invite in natural light and frame views of the surrounding landscape, while the private deck offers a place to sit, unwind, and observe the endemic wildlife roam past and the rhythm of the land.

Operating entirely off-grid, the guesthouse is powered by the natural elements that surround it - an intentional approach that reflects Yarnbala’s ethos of living lightly. Every detail has been carefully considered to provide comfort without excess, balancing sustainability with understated luxury.
