This 3-bedroom, 1-bath home in Port Stanley's Kokomo area backs onto a private wooded ravine, giving you a rare combination: total backyard privacy AND one of Ontario's best beach towns at your doorstep.

Inside: The home has been freshly updated — bright, clean, and comfortable, with air conditioning, fast WiFi, and an in-unit washer/dryer. The kitchen comes fully stocked: cookware, knives, forks, toaster, and a blender ready for frozen drinks after a beach day.

Outside: The private deck is where you'll spend your time. It overlooks the ravine with nothing but forest behind you — patio seating for 6, a BBQ for grilling, and a hammock strung in the trees for the best nap of your year.

Location: Walk to Erie Rest Beach in 9 minutes, or reach Main Beach in a 4-minute drive (26-minute walk). Port Stanley's harbour, shops, and restaurants are minutes away. Explore the village, catch a show at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre, or just stay in and listen to the ravine.

The recently renovated property was nice and clean. The outside spaces were still in the process of being landscaped, but the barbecue was handy and the view of the stars at the fire pit was delightful. It was a bit of a longer walk to the Main Beach, but Little Erie Beach was about an 8 minute walk through the neighbourhood and down a public access walkway. The one small problem we had was dealt with quickly and sufficiently.

I booked this thinking it was wheelchair accessible with the ramp, but it’s not and it wasn’t advertised as such so that’s on me. It’s an older house with more work to do around the outside and evidence of rodents inside ( we didn’t see any) but it was very spacious and clean inside. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and it had everything you needed in the kitchen. Shower was great too. We were there for a wedding and other family members stayed in Airbnb’s nearby in much newer and updated homes with the same number of bedrooms for less money, but overall this place suited our purpose. The property was very private and had a peaceful surrounding. We were greeted after when we first arrived with a family of deer near the deck, including a baby. Also, they showed up to say goodbye on the day we were leaving.
