This property was just as advertised. Very nicely set up, well equipped, and spotless. Information from host was thorough and response time very prompt. The only negative was some noise from the residents above, but this can be expected when renting a basement suite. We will be booking this property again!

I had an amazing stay at this basement suite. It's a great location next to a highway. The suite was well stocked with a kitchen, laundry machine, hair dryers, smart TV and a shower. The host was great with communication and was quick to respond to any questions. Would highly recommend :)

Nice place but ad was misleading as it shows 2 queen beds in seperate rooms but one of them was locked we couldn't access. The thermostat is locked so you can't control your own heat you have to message the host to ask them to turn it up or down. Worst was the window in the bedroom does not open. When I asked host what I was doing wrong I was told they did not want the window to open. I was concerned about the fire safety issue as no windows opened in the entire place and I mentioned that but did not get a response. Bed isn't super comfortable. Please note there are a ton of stairs to get down to the basement suite and up so would be hard for someone who has health issues.However It's a really cute place and it's fairly new. Location for me was excellent. But due to the heat control issue and the locked windows I don't think I would rent this suite again.

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your feedback. We take guest safety and comfort seriously and would like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our suite has passed the City of Calgary's applicable fire safety inspection, including the emergency egress window mechanism. It has an interconnected fire alarm system, an annually inspected commercial-grade fire extinguisher and a prominently displayed evacuation plan. We will also recheck the window following your concern. The suite has its own heating system. The thermostat is secured to prevent accidental changes, but we adjust it on request. We had raised the temperature earlier that day at your request and you expressed your satisfaction. When you messaged after 11:00 p.m. about the window, we understood it as a concern about the room being too warm. Given the snowy, rainy weather, we did not recommend opening it for cooling. We appreciate that your concern may also have involved emergency access. Our listing and pre-arrival instructions describe the walk-up access, queen bed and second-bedroom sofa bed. The Beautyrest Platinum medium-firm mattress has been well received by all our guests, though we appreciate that comfort is personal. We were happy to accommodate a 12:30 p.m. late checkout and the four guests who arrived on a reservation for one. We appreciate the feedback and wish you well in your future travels.
