Arrow Junction Cottage

Located in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by mature trees, only five minutes by car from Arrowtown and overlooking the popular Gibbston valley bike trail. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with it’s own ensuite bathroom. A well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area open onto a private courtyard with table and chairs. Each bedroom has its own heater and ensuite bathroom.  Linen, tea and coffee are supplied.  Arrowtown is only minutes away by car and in winter, local ski areas offer some of the best alpine skiing in New Zealand.

Hi, I'm James, owner of Arrow Studios and the person behind the small details you'll notice around the cottages. I've been hosting guests for over twelve years and I'm an Airbnb Superhost.

After a successful career as a TV producer, I've developed an eye for setting a scene and telling a good story, and I like to think that shows in how the cottages are presented. Years of travel, adventure and meeting people from all walks of life have taught me what makes a stay memorable: comfort, character, peace, quiet and a touch of class.

When I'm not here, you'll find me relaxing with friends, repairing old machinery, reading, chasing powder at Coronet Peak and Treble Cone, ski touring in the backcountry, riding the local bike trails, sailing fair winds, or taking an early morning blast over the Crown Range in my air-cooled 911. I also enjoy gardening, golf and spending time with my children. I'm a serial binge-watcher of compelling TV (Peaky Blinders and Taboo are favorite's), drink way too much coffee, and love Asian cuisine and page-turner thrillers. I know this corner of Central Otago well. If you'd like tips on where to eat in Arrowtown, which bike or walking trail to head for, or where to find the best snow on the local ski areas, just ask.
