The Spinnaker Cottage ~ Just off Main! - Sleeps 6

Newly renovated cottage in the heart of the charming downtown area. One block from local shops and restaurants and only a 10 minute drive to the ski resorts.

Welcome to this clean and sophisticated cottage with all new finishes and furnishings. You will love the outdoor patio with exclusive eating area and ambient string lights to set off your evening happy hour.

The home comfortably sleeps six with one king bed and two queen beds. Both baths are remodeled with subway tile and new fixtures. The white kitchen offers granite counters and new appliances. A gas log fireplace keeps things cozy on cold nights and new A/C to keep you cool in the summer months.

So many restaurants, beaches, a movie theater, and shopping are just a stroll away. Just park the car and spend some time in this iconic resort town where everything is local and walkable.

This location is ideal for all season adventures: fall color tours, hiking, biking, downhill and cross country skiing, golfing, and boating, kayaking and paddle -boarding in the Little Traverse Bay.

Amazing location

This house was perfect! The location is two blocks from downtown so easy to get to anything. Nice and spacious and good sized bedrooms. Had anything you needed for your stay. We will definitely be back.

Perfect cottage for family of 4

We loved our stay at the Spinnaker Cottage. It’s very well redone while maintaining some of the original character. It felt very clean and was everything our young family of 4 needed. We have been coming to Harbor Springs every summer for 5 years and this has been our favorite rental thus far. It’s walkable to everything and quiet. We worried about being at the bottom of the big hill on Arbor St but you’re just past it and it was never an issue. Would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in town.

Wonderful

We’ve been to HS seven times using VRBO each time. This property is, by far, our favorite!. it was exactly as advertised and the quality of the cottage and location too downtown were both a “10”. This is now our “go to” property!

Walking distance to everything. Awesome awesome quiet spot close to whatever you’re looking for. Walking to farmers market on Saturday morning was great!!

Winter Stay

Great property with great owners. All our questions were answered quickly. Great location in Harbor Springs, easily walking distance to restaurants and water - even in the winter. House was warm, cozy and clean. Bathrooms have been redone and are in very good shape. We would certainly stay here again.

Clean and serene!

The Spinnaker Cottage was exactly what our family of five was looking for…very clean and well accommodated, 5-10 min walk to town and the water, quiet peaceful neighborhood! The renovations on the cottage look professionally done for a cohesive, cute craftsman style house. The cottage felt very homey and comfortable. We walked to town everyday we were there for dinner at Piersons and Turkeys, and brunch at Cupola…all very good! Rodrigos was a short drive if you’re in the mood for Mexican, also very good! We went to Pond Hill Farms which is great for adults and kids alike, and hunted for Petoskey stones at the state park! Highly recommend the cottage and the area for fall family fun!

Harbor Springs Past and Present

This little house is the perfect mix of rich Harbor Springs history and beautifully updated features. 3 blocks from the heart of town, the quiet and quaint neighborhood is the perfect location. The 3 mattresses are fantastic, the kitchen is well equipped, and the indoor and outdoor fireplaces made for cozy gatherings. The host was very responsive. Such a gem!!

Second visit!

We loved this house and town so much last year we quickly rebooked for this summer! We've rented a decent number of houses over the years and I think this is the cleanest one I've stayed in. It's also a good mix of updates and old charm and proximity to town can't be beat. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels. Can't wait to return in the future!

Sweet spot

Nice, quaint cottage in Harbor Springs. Close to lakefront downtown district, yet in a quieter location than the “main” street. Nice renovation with some old cottage quirks( creaky, squeaky staircase). Offers WiFi, central air and heat, fully furnished updated kitchen. Would recommend .

Great stay in Harbor Springs

Loved the house - it's a great location and a very nice rehab of an older home, updated with modern bathrooms and kitchen. Everything is very well done. There isn't a lot of outdoor living space with this house as it is located between a roadway directly in front, and a steep embankment in the back (there is no back yard), but we didn't end up really minding this as it's a short walk to everything the town of Harbor Springs has to offer, and there's lots of surrounding outdoor sites to enjoy just a short drive away. This was our first trip to Northern Michigan, and this house was a great place to enjoy as our home base.

Beautiful, clean and well appointed property. Walking distance to all of Harbor Springs shops and restaurants. Such a a great location for visiting Petoskey and Charlevoix. Owner was easy to work with. Can’t say enough positive things about this home.

The perfect cottage!

My mom and I were looking for the right getaway spot for our spring skiing adventure and this cottage was perfect! The house was beautifully updated, while retaining the gorgeous character of the old home. Even though everything looks brand new, there are no chemical smells or anything like that, which she and I are very sensitive to. The beds and bedding were sooo comfortable and the window shades are divine! I love it to be very dark in the room when I sleep, and this is the first rental that I have been in that does this so well. I would highly recommend this rental for its proximity to town and its overall beauty and comfort. Plus, the price point is very competitive. I would say if you can keep your footprint down to two cars that would probably be preferable. There is street parking available but it’s not really the best option, especially in the winter.

Perfect little getaway

My family loved our stay at this cute little cottage. It was clean, perfect location for access to downtown, and very comfortable. The owners communicated very well and we would love to come back in the summer sometime.

We enjoy going up to Harbor Springs because there is so much to explore in Northern Michigan. We love to walk a few short blocks to downtown to enjoy shopping and dining or watching a movie at the cute theater in town. The drive through the tunnel of trees is beautiful with a stop to Pond Hill Farm! (That is where our family photo was taken). Harbor Springs is a nice place to visit all year round! We love the sandy beaches and biking in the summer and the skiing is great in the winter with Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands less than 10 minutes away.

The quaint and magical feel of the small harbor town makes for a lovely vacation retreat in northern Michigan. The bike paths, beaches, country vineyards, and ski resorts are easily accessible. It is a charming town for short or long term visits throughout the entire year.
