Spacious Rustic Log Cabin

Large rustic log cabin in the pines. Our families favorite place to be. Cabin is 2800 sqft. and has a large 1400 sqft. deck for enjoying the outdoors and views overlooking Greer Valley. Great base camp for fishing and hiking in the spring and summer, hunting in the fall and skiing in the winter. Very close to the three Greer lakes and only 15 minutes to Sunrise Ski Park. Quiet secluded location but still close to all Greer and the White Mountains has to offer.

We enjoyed the location and the deck is spacious, has lots of wildlife, beds were comfortable. We also appreciated the firewood that was available to use. The place is older so understood there may be issues, but I'd like to provide honest feedback.The power went out in the downstairs bedrooms and dining room while sleeping. We figured the breaker jumped so had to find where that was to reset. Refrigerator makes noise while doors are closed like the fan may be going out as it doesn't seem to get to temperature. Keurig turns on and water heats but the buttons to brew coffee do not work.Bathrooms need a deep clean as upstairs there are chunks of something by drain. Downstairs is black near the drain end. We ended up going in to town to buy a bath mat as the existing was not looking great. Overall we enjoyed the location but felt a deep clean is needed.

Not the best experience

The cabin itself is very large and spacious. The location is good. But for the most part that's where the positives end. The place is old and there seems to be many broken things in the cabin.

Rustic with Home Improvement needs

There is a reason there are limited pictures, location was great, patio was scenic, and tons of opportunity. Lighting is close to non-existent, furniture inside and outside needs replaced or upgraded outdoors chairs especially, upstairs closet door fell off on us when opening, toilet seat only connected with one bolt, eighty percent of windows do not open, very small bathroom for the master and queen bedroom to share downstairs, holes in the door of one room, sliding glass door upstairs falling apart with 2x4s screwed into floor to keep from opening, and a myriad of fixer upper issues. Tremendous potential and regardless we enjoyed the trip, but would have stayed elsewhere if we were aware of the condition for the price. We took a lot of pics and looking for nothing from owners, but giving some honest feedback. Really hope they spend the money and time as this could be a real gem.

Beautiful location

This was a great place. The owners responded quick and willing to accommodate. The cabin is well stocked. The views were beautiful. The only thing is maybe bring extra fans in the summer, the room upstairs gets a little warm.

Potentially great cabin

This cabin has a lot of potential. For adults it’s fine. In kids room there was exposed fiber glass. And many of the electrical light switches had the incorrect covers, leaving wires easy to get to for kids. This place seemed like it just needed some work done to get it to the place where guests would feel comfortable and safe. We didn’t get checkin instructions, but when we needed to contact the owner he called and addressed the issue the next day.

Great family get away

Our family gathered for the weekend at this cabin after our grandfather passed away. It was very healing to all be together in one spot to enjoy memories and have fun. The cabin is huge! The mattresses were comfortable and the porch is amazing. Easy access from the main road and totally worth the trip.
