Unfulfilled Potential
First the good - I chose this property because I loved the rooftop patio and adjoining master bedroom that looked over the patio and the city. This is a great space that we used a lot. Check-in process was smooth, and Sweet Inn Barcelona followed up to ask if we had all we needed. The Wi-Fi either didn’t work or wasn’t hooked up, and after multiple attempts to resolve they finally fixed it on day 4 of our 5-day stay. The unit is sparsely decorated and although functional, the layout is strange as the master bedroom is connected only to the other bedroom and the patio, so if you had a couple in each bedroom and had to go to the bathroom in the night, you would need to go either outside or through the other bedroom. We were only 2 so not a problem for us but would be for larger groups. The flooring is cheap and poorly layed with multiple gaps, and the locks on the sliding doors to the patio don’t work, so theoretically someone from another rooftop unit could easily break in. The neighborhood is decent and you can get to most city sites fairly easily, though in retrospect I would have preferred booking a place nearer the gothic quarter. Not one of the best places I have rented, but perhaps not the worst.
