Can't say enough good things about the Spruce Nest and our host Tom. Tom is a fantastic host with a great notebook with property instructions and information. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was very clean. The new AC was a huge plus as it was fairly warm during our visit.

If you're headed to Steamboat - this is THE PLACE to stay. This home is so much more than the description can describe. The location is amazing only to be outdone by the amazing hosts and well appointed home. You will have everything you need, access to any suggestions you could need in a well kept home in a precious neighborhood. The layout is perfect for a little bit of quiet and a lot of fun together. You are walk-ably close to all the great food and shopping and exploration you could want. We loved it, our adult daughter loved it, and our dog was so happy to be with the family on this trip. We would stay at Tom's place any time and can't wait to visit SB here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here and wish we had longer! Plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 kids, and our dog. We were able to walk everywhere and barely used our car thanks to the perfect location in Old Town. This will definitely be our new Steamboat go-to when we come back.

Wonderful location & amazing host! Tom went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable - even helping us out with a flat tire. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. We brought our dog and loved the proximity to the dog park. The house was well appointed with everything we needed and it was a quick 10 minute walk into downtown. I moved to Steamboat Springs in 1979 because of the beauty of the surrounding area, outdoor activities and good economic potential. So far, I have not been dissatisfied. My wife and I love riding ATVs in the summer, hiking and rafting down the Yampa. We would like to share The Spruce Nest with you special places to see, feel and experience. Like the Hot Springs.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

My wife and I purchased this property about 25 years as a long term rental. In 2018 we decided to remodel it, yet keep the historic character. We left the two-story building intact, added and entry, master bed room and bath, powder room/laundry and dining area. We also remodeled the kitchen and added a beer tap. There is all new furniture and carpet. The exterior was also re-landscaped. It's got a great location - 10 minute walk from downtown and on a dead-end street near the edge of town. What more could be better? Come and see for yourself!

In the spring/summer 2022, we will be remodeling the back portion of the duplex for a vacation rental. It will have two master bedrooms/baths on the ground floor, with the living room, kitchen and powder bath on the second floor. A partially covered deck will complement the living space on the second floor. A carport with a covered walkway will provide protection from rain/snow from the parking area to the unit for all seasons. It should be available late summer 2022.
