Magnificent up-close WATERFRONT "SunBright Le Reve" Premier Westside Orcas

Rare westerly up-close beachfront near the quaint village of Eastsound for an easy vacation or getaway.

With a premier westside Orcas Island waterfront location, SunBright Le Reve is a gem in the San Juan Islands. The home features waterfront living in a spectacular setting with beach access, a mooring buoy, and privacy - yet is only a four minute drive to Eastsound, a picturesque village at the end of a fjord that is perhaps the most charming seaside village in the entire San Juan Islands chain.

The custom Northwest style single-level home sits directly at the water's edge and is nestled among majestic evergreen trees and enjoys a sunny western exposure. The location is ideal; on a dead-end private road close to West Beach, Camp Orkila, and Eastsound for convenient access to quality shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. An expansive shoreline and private beach stairs assures hours of beach exploration with plenty of tide pools teeming with marine life at low tide.

Barbecue with a quality Weber grill and dine at the water's edge with 180-degree forever views extending from the San Juan islands and Canadian Gulf islands all the way to Vancouver, Canada. Gaze at many interesting ships as they pass by in the distance along the US and Canadian border.

Bring your own boat and tie to our mooring buoy or rent kayaks in town and explore our fascinating bay with its rich marine and bird activity. Even from the house, seals and otters are frequently seen splashing and in summers 2021-24 there were numerous Orca sightings directly from our oceanside deck. Our bay is known locally as a prime crabbing and fishing destination and is one of the most popular kayaking spots on Orcas due to the abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery.

The quality of light at SunBright Le Reve is very special. Sunlight pours into this home throughout the entire day, culminating in a tremendous glistening effect near sunset. Enjoy an evening glass of wine and delight in the golden flickers of light "dancing" around the living room. Bake a pie with apples, pears or plums from one of the mature fruit trees on the property. Then enjoy your homemade dessert in a setting that is private and peaceful. The salt air, shimmering sun and spectacular sunsets surrounded by the majestic Orcas forests makes for a magical setting for your vacation or weekend getaway.

SunBright Le Reve is a medium-bank waterfront and there is some hillside between the home and the ocean. This hillside is protected by a continuous cable rail fence. Our stay could not have been better! The house is beautifully appointed, owner was super responsive and the setting is simply perfect! A truly remarkable property in a magical place. The owners clearly hold their guests in high regard with thoughtful touches (fresh flowers throughout), efficient and personal management, and impeccable cleanliness. Every detail has been thoughtfully anticipated and executed.The details just go on and on from high end appliances, comfortable furnishings and multiple outdoor and indoor vignettes that invite reflection and relaxation. Beautiful home, views, tastefully decorated and fully equipped for a wonderful getaway. The host was terrific and most helpful with tips to enjoy your stay. Close to town yet remote enough for privacy. The sunsets were spectacular!

A dream vacation house!

Pictures hardly do this place justice - the view and location of the property were priceless. Sitting out on the wraparound deck each night was a dream. We were a multi-generational family of 8 including 3 kids under 3 and the house had everything we could have needed and more than enough space to accommodate us all comfortably. Fully stocked kitchen, clean and modern bedroom and bathrooms, and the little outdoor playhouse was icing on the cake. Anyone would be lucky to spend a week at Anneli’s while on Orcas and we hope to be back one day!

repeat business is the best measure.... this is a fabulous island hideout. super sophisticated furnishings and decor, exceptional kitchen and utensil collection, great view of the water and the world of water travel.

Remarkable designer, home situation just above the water with gorgeous gardens

Anneli, our host was so gracious and thoughtful. There were so many extra touches that made this stay truly exceptional. This home felt both like a beautiful designer home with incredible artwork and at the same time truly a cozy place to relax and just watch the water I should be back as soon as I can possibly find vacancy. Obnoxiously Gorgeous

Staying at this property was a dream. The house was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, the views were OUTRAGEOUS and the grounds were incredible. I took a nap outside and the air smells like lavender and sea salt. I need to find a candle that smells like their yard. There’s an otter den close by so we saw them playing in the water, and we kayaked around and curious seals popped up to take a look. Didn’t seem like a real place. If I wake up an realize it was all a dream I’ll let you know.

Absolute Perfection!

We loved everything about this house. It is beautiful on the inside and outside. Loved the view from the deck. We watched otters play while we cooked out on the grill and enjoyed eating on the deck. Exploring the tide pools. Bald eagles flew over several times. We had a hard time leaving this house to explore the island. The kitchen was so well stocked with high end appliances and spices. The house is relaxed elegance at it’s finest. I recommend staying a bit longer than you planned. We only had three nights and wished for more. We moved to San Juan Island right after and wishing we would of spent more time on Orcas Island in this house!

exquisite house, staggeringly well equipped throughout, especially the kitchen. Glass walls to the sound and marine traffic, so it's close to living outside. Great deck and furniture! Isolated yet close to town and services. This is our 3rd year here and we've signed up for a fourth.

Gorgeous home in a stunningly beautiful setting. Deck, outdoor sitting areas, orchard, the rocky beach were all truly magnificent. The home was bright and so tastefully decorated, and fully stocked with quality necessities - views from every window. It is obvious Anneli takes great pride in her home and she was a super host.

Wonderful home!

We had the best visit. The home is beautiful, very clean, comfortable…well stocked kitchen, nice linens. Location is ideal…less than 10 min to Eastsound and about 20 to Rosario Harbor and Moran State Park. We saw lots of wildlife at the house…many harbor seals, huge starfish, deer, hummingbirds and eagles. My kids loved kayaking out to Freeman Island and exploring there. The yard are view of bay are spectacular. Homeowner was very helpful and thoughtful. We would absolutely stay here again!

Family vacation

Fabulous vacation. The home was as beautiful and well appointed as the photos make it out to be. Anneli was a lovely host. Our favorite part was sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the sunsets with the seals and otters. We cannot wait to go back.

Amazing place!

We loved our stay on Orcas. This house was beautiful. Three bedrooms, with one bedroom having a queen and two twin beds. Having dinner on the deck was magical, and my 3 year old loved the play house. The house is 5 minutes from Eastsound. It was perfectly locater to explore the whole island. Already dreaming of going back.

Delightful

Staying at Annie's house on Orcas Island was like stepping into a living masterpiece! The entire home benefits from a designer’s eye, with each rug as beautiful as the last, perfectly complementing the tasteful decor that makes every corner a delight. Nothing about this visit said rental. It is a well appointed and stocked home. Annie herself is a gem—so warm, communicative, and endlessly helpful. She has an eye for detail that truly shows, from the immaculate cleanliness of the house to the thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The site is incredible. A large lot perched on the waterfront with a magnificent staircase to assist your walk for beachcombing. You can’t see any neighbors and it is so quiet and so calming. And oh, the fruit trees! Wandering through the garden felt like entering a magical orchard, with plums, pears, and apples hanging heavy from the branches. There’s excellent seating on all sides and the lot is filled with lavender. If you're looking for a place that feels more like a dream than just a rental, Annie's house is it. We can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise on Orcas Island! If it is available for you to book, you should not hesitate for one second.

One of our favorite houses on Orcas!

We have been renting on Orcas island for over two decades and this house stands out as one of our favorites. The view and property are gorgeous, the kitchen well stocked, and the bedrooms cozy and welcoming. The owner is amazing and has always been a pleasure to work with. We could not recommend this house more.

Stunning view and well-appointed home

A dragon fruit not only was this for well appointed in terms of cookware, linens, towels, games and books, but the space was perfect for five adults and 13-year-old. The owner communicated brilliantly, and we knew everything that was going on.

The close proximity to the sweet village of Eastsound was important to us. We love to do quick trips into town for things like a latte or to buy last minute fresh ingredients for an evening meal. The Saturday Farmer's Market on the Village Green in town is delightful and has locally grown produce - and you will find the true spirit of Orcas there too.

We love to have evening meals at home for this reason and our family almost always uses the deck dining table where this glistening effect appears as sun rays "dancing" around the house and living/great room. For us this is a glorious experience. The majestic evergreens and hilly/mountainous terrain so unique to Orcas Island means many homes here do not benefit from this quality of light.

SunBright's oceanside deck is close to the water's edge for abundant marine and wildlife viewing..... seals and sea otters are frequently seen splashing and in recent years there have been increasing Orca sightings directly from the deck. Our bay is one of the most popular kayaking, fishing and crabbing destinations on Orcas island.
