Magnificent up-close WATERFRONT "SunBright Le Reve" Premier westside Orcas

Rare westerly up-close beachfront near the quaint village of Eastsound for an easy vacation or getaway.

With a premier westside Orcas Island waterfront location, SunBright Le Reve is a gem in the San Juan Islands. The home features waterfront living in a spectacular setting with beach access, a mooring buoy, and privacy - yet is only a four minute drive to Eastsound, a picturesque village at the end of a fjord that is perhaps the most charming seaside village in the entire San Juan Islands chain.

The custom Northwest style single-level home sits directly at the water's edge and is nestled among majestic evergreen trees and enjoys a sunny western exposure. The location is ideal; on a dead-end private road close to West Beach, Camp Orkila, and Eastsound for convenient access to quality shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. An expansive shoreline and private beach stairs assures hours of beach exploration with plenty of tide pools teeming with marine life at low tide.

Barbecue with a quality Weber grill and dine at the water's edge with 180-degree forever views extending from the San Juan islands and Canadian Gulf islands all the way to Vancouver, Canada. Gaze at many interesting ships as they pass by in the distance along the US and Canadian border.

Bring your own boat and tie to our mooring buoy or rent kayaks in town and explore our fascinating bay with its rich marine and bird activity. Even from the house, seals and sea otters are frequently seen splashing and in summers 2021-23 there were numerous Orca sightings directly from our oceanside deck. Our bay is known locally as a prime crabbing and fishing destination and is one of the most popular kayaking spots on Orcas due to the abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery.

The quality of light at SunBright Le Reve is very special. Sunlight pours into this home throughout the entire day, culminating in a tremendous glistening effect near sunset. Enjoy an evening glass of wine and delight in the golden flickers of light "dancing" around the living room. Bake a pie with apples, pears or plums from one of the mature fruit trees on the property. Then enjoy your homemade dessert in a setting that is private and peaceful. The salt air, shimmering sun and spectacular sunsets surrounded by the majestic Orcas forests makes for a magical setting for your vacation or weekend getaway.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Parties or events are not permitted under any circumstances. Pets are not allowed at the home. SunBright Le Reve is a medium-bank waterfront and there is some hillside between the home and the ocean. This hillside is protected by a continuous cable rail fence. However parents of young children should closely supervise all children while in residence.

Amazing place!

We loved our stay on Orcas. This house was beautiful. Three bedrooms, with one bedroom having a queen and two twin beds. Having dinner on the deck was magical, and my 3 year old loved the play house. The house is 5 minutes from Eastsound. It was perfectly locater to explore the whole island. Already dreaming of going back.

repeat business is the best measure.... this is a fabulous island hideout. super sophisticated furnishings and decor, exceptional kitchen and utensil collection, great view of the water and the world of water travel.

Beautiful home and spot!

Beautiful home, views, tastefully decorated and fully equipped for a wonderful getaway. The host was terrific and most helpful with tips to enjoy your stay. Close to town yet remote enough for privacy. The sunsets were spectacular!

Perfect Family Getaway from Texas

This vacation was amazing! Full of exploration yet so relaxing. The owner, house, island, etc were all amazing! We loved being surrounded by the wildlife, going on adventures on the shore and the island, sitting on the patio, and playing on the lawn. We cannot wait to return!!

Perfect Orcas Getaway!

We have stayed in a lot of nice rentals, but my family all agreed that this beautiful house is the best yet. Truly remarkable views! Plus the yard, gardens, and the house itself are also amazing. And the host was wonderful! We all can’t wait to come back!

One of our favorite houses on Orcas!

We have been renting on Orcas island for over two decades and this house stands out as one of our favorites. The view and property are gorgeous, the kitchen well stocked, and the bedrooms cozy and welcoming. The owner is amazing and has always been a pleasure to work with. We could not recommend this house more.

Remarkable designer, home situation just above the water with gorgeous gardens

Anneli, our host was so gracious and thoughtful. There were so many extra touches that made this stay truly exceptional. This home felt both like a beautiful designer home with incredible artwork and at the same time truly a cozy place to relax and just watch the water I should be back as soon as I can possibly find vacancy. Wonderful vacation home!

The house is beautiful and the views are spectacular! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were super comfortable, the outdoor furniture is very comfortable as well. We have rented lots of properties on VRBO and this was our favorite!

Stunning view and well-appointed home

A dragon fruit not only was this for well appointed in terms of cookware, linens, towels, games and books, but the space was perfect for five adults and 13-year-old. The owner communicated brilliantly, and we knew everything that was going on.

Beautiful private cottage on Orcas

This house is beautiful, well-equipped and has stunning views of the water. All the amenities you could want are available, the kitchen is possibly better than your home and Anneli is so lovely to communicate with. As a gardener I truly appreciated her perfectly lovely and well-kept garden with lavender. The whole atmosphere is peace and beauty and joy. Plus you are just moments from town through the enchanted forest.

Gorgeous home, and amazing view, more than we expected!

This home has a spirit of its own that permeates the entire property with beauty, calm and energy.. the decor is beautiful that is lush and comfortable. Every detail of the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry are first class. We cooked every day and had everything we needed. We kayaked, hiked, biked, fished crabbed and whale watched.. Every sunset was an event. This was a trip to remember forever!

Obnoxiously Gorgeous

Staying at this property was a dream. The house was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, the views were OUTRAGEOUS and the grounds were incredible. I took a nap outside and the air smells like lavender and sea salt. I need to find a candle that smells like their yard. There’s an otter den close by so we saw them playing in the water, and we kayaked around and curious seals popped up to take a look. Didn’t seem like a real place. If I wake up an realize it was all a dream I’ll let you know.

Absolute Perfection!

We loved everything about this house. It is beautiful on the inside and outside. Loved the view from the deck. We watched otters play while we cooked out on the grill and enjoyed eating on the deck. Exploring the tide pools. Bald eagles flew over several times. We had a hard time leaving this house to explore the island. The kitchen was so well stocked with high end appliances and spices. The house is relaxed elegance at it’s finest. I recommend staying a bit longer than you planned. We only had three nights and wished for more. We moved to San Juan Island right after and wishing we would of spent more time on Orcas Island in this house!

Heavenly

My husband and I, along with 4 friends came to celebrate my 60th birthday. I was hoping for a peaceful, beautiful experience and that's exactly what we all got. SunBright Le Reve is a gorgeous and comfortable space, and Anneli has gone to great lengths to fill it with everything you could possibly want to make it feel like home. On top of that she is incredibly responsive if there's something you need... we inquired about kindling and she delivered it very quickly... so kind and thoughtful! And then there's the view... stunning, and filled with so many sights and sounds of sea critters and birds. Sunsets were magical. We look forward to coming back here, for sure.

We're already dreaming about our next trip to this special place.......

Like a few others have written, if only it were possible to give more than 5 stars....I almost hesitate to write this in fear that this amazing property might not be available for our next booking! The home is beautiful, comfortable, and has everything you might need. The views are beyond amazing. And we had a river otter cross the yard! It was beyond what we had hoped for a special mothers/daughters celebration. And the wine upon arrival was so welcome after a long day of travel! Thank you Anneli for sharing your beautiful home with us. Your communication, suggestions, and kindness were so appreciated as we were trying to coordinate travel from Minneapolis and Boulder (we've learned so much about the ferry system! :) We're already dreaming about our next trip......

The close proximity to the sweet village of Eastsound was important to us. We love to do quick trips into town for things like a latte or to buy last minute fresh ingredients for an evening meal. The Saturday Farmer's Market on the Village Green in town is delightful and has locally grown produce - and you will find the true spirit of Orcas there too.

We love to have evening meals at home for this reason and our family almost always uses the deck dining table where this glistening effect appears as sun rays "dancing" around the house and living/great room. For us this is a glorious experience. The majestic evergreens and hilly/mountainous terrain so unique to Orcas Island means many homes here do not benefit from this quality of light.

SunBright's oceanside deck is close to the water's edge for abundant marine and wildlife viewing..... seals and sea otters are frequently seen splashing and in recent years there have been increasing Orca sightings directly from the deck. Our bay is one of the most popular kayaking, fishing and crabbing destinations on Orcas island.
