Thoughtful host
This house had many nice features! We thought it was okay clean with the exception of the kitchen. We were not at all pleased. The cabinets need to emptied scrubbed down and everything washed. Literally everything we tried to use needed to be cleaned. We tried to do our part. We even did a deep clean on the coffee machine which was in desperate need. It made us uncomfortable using it. We really had to clean the sinks and around the faucet.
The home had really clean bathrooms and newer windows. It also featured really nice washing machine and dryer. There was a nice selection of games. Another great feature was the office and the fact that it had a space heater which was desperately needed with the weather we experienced. Towels were nice and in good condition. Bedding was good not great.
The biggest issue we had is that the house was freezing when we arrived. The owner likes to put the heat on 62 when home is vacant. Totally understandable considering it’s electric heat. Unfortunately it was quite chilly many days raining and in the 40’s. The house was really really musty smelling and took over a week to get rid of it.
The master bedroom was fine we thought the 2 downstairs bedrooms could have been a little better. The master bed was comfortable and you don’t feel the other person move. However we did the sheets because were there 2 weeks and the mattress was dirty when we took sheets off. I suggest a deep clean and a good mattress cover that gets Cleaned each time.
