Gorgeous and peaceful!

We had a wonderful five days at this lovely rustic cabin. The view is exceptional, the cabin was clean and adequately furnished, and the hot tub was an amazing treat! The location is ideally situated near beaches, great hiking trails and a short drive to restaurants and grocery shopping. Viv was very responsive to the few questions we had during our stay. We look forward to a return visit. Thank you!

Magical!

We loved our time at this special home. Amazing views, privacy, wildlife. Our family of four played games on the deck, watched the sunset, bird watched, walked down to Falcon Cove, and explored Oswald West State Park, cannon Beach, and Manzanita. We loved every minute and if we didn’t live across the country we’d be back soon! We hope to return one day. Thanks for sharing this slice of heaven on Earth.

Another Great Stay!

We've been coming here for our anniversary for 3 or 4 years. Our stay here has always been wonderful. Imagine our surprise to be the first ones to use the brand new hot tub! Thanks Vivi for the hot tub upgrade. The new hot tub is great for watching the stars or listening to the waves crash against the cliffs below. We love the cabin and the privacy of the forest. We will definitely return again next year.

Great place to relax!

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. We spent four nights. Our two boys (9 and 12) at first were not thrilled about the lack of TV and wifi, but within a short time they adjusted and spend their time reading the wonderful comics and other books they found around the cabin. It was great. My son especially enjoyed the vintage Tin Tin comics. The book selection is very diverse and there were several travel magazines that helped us plan our excursions. One of the things we enjoyed most was opening the upstairs bedroom windows and listening to the ocean at night. It was amazing and I certainly noticed it was gone the night after we left. The hot tub was large and enjoyable. We used it every day and even with our two boys it stayed clean for our entire trip. We did follow the owners instructions and added just a little chlorine. The yard overlooking the ocean was spectacular. We bought a bit of firewood in town and had two campfires for making s'mores. There was a lot of flowering plants and other interesting vegetation that we enjoyed and took pictures of. The cabin is very secluded, which we also appreciated. I would have to say that the view of the ocean, hot tub and privacy are the best things about this rental. If we get back to the area, I wouldn't hesitate staying here again. There are a few things that could have made our stay even nicer though. They are minor things, but I'll mention them anyway. It would have been nice for the cabin to have been stocked a little better. A fresh bar of soap and the hand soap bottle filled up would have been nice. The few inconveniences were defiantly outweighed by the overall enjoyment we had during our time there. We visited the little towns up and down the coastline and found Manzanita to be the most enjoyable. Very laid back and very nice people. Cannon beach was beautiful, but crowded and touristy. The state parks near the cabin along the coast are great, not crowded and full of places to explore and tidal pools with starfish, anemones and crab. We truly had a wonderful visit and would love to come back someday.

Spectacular Setting

I can't imagine a better ocean setting. Not only is the view wonderful, but the house is by itself in a beautiful forested area. My wife and I enjoyed a couple visits there 10 years ago, and I went back with the dog after she died. The house is simple, but functional.

Nice rustic cabin with an amazing view. HIGHLY RECOMMEND *****

I can’t even describe what a wonderful relaxing time we had. The cabin is rustic and charming. We felt like we stepped back in time. It was a great place to force us busy types to unwind, go to bed early, and rise early. There was some bad weather to deal with but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the coast. Kim notified us of the incoming weather, she was right on and we prepared accordingly. Coffee ☕️ 😚 The only thing we missed was the sun!! I highly recommend this place and hope to return to the little cabin by the sea :)

Magic in falcon cove

This was our third annual trip to this cabin. It’s perfect. We love the location and the gorgeous cabin itself. We love that there’s no internet or tv. There’s no option but to enjoy the gorgeous views, connect with each other and enjoy nature. The hot tub is heaven. And we jogged from the cabin to the surf beach a couple times! What a treat to have trail options, beach options, and the delightful peaceful location. I feel recharged. Thanks for sharing your special place with us.

Slice of heaven

Always leave this gem rejuvenated and grateful it remains available to enjoy. A spectacular place to experience the Oregon coast at its finest. Don’t come unless your goal is to unplug. You won’t find distracting contraptions here. Just the best views and sounds and an eagle or two.

Wonderful cabin

This was my second trip to The End of the Road Cabin. Such a magical place! The views are stunning. Nice walk to a wonderful beach and lots of other beaches and parks near by. Will definitely be back!

Above and beyond

Kim is always so nice and helpful but this trip really drove home how important good owners can be. We had terrible weather where we live in Oregon and we were not sure when we would make it out there. Kim made sure that we knew things would be all set whenever we could arrive and suggested routes to avoid the worst of it. We also locked ourself out at one point and she was easy to reach and came right up to let us in and was very sweet about our boneheaded mistake. Great place, great people.

Amazing, quiet getaway

The cabin tucked at the end of the road and is very private. The views are wonderful and sitting in the hot tub at sunset just makes it that much better. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and there is plenty of firewood for the wood-burning stove.

Amazing!

This was a very nice facility. The house was nice, as advertised, very private. The views from this property are astounding! Great nearby old growth trails, easy access to beautiful beaches. Would like to come again.

Its 2020

Love the rustic feel and could not find a better location. Kim was very communicative and was super understanding. 2020 brought fires, wind, and loss of power. Kim offered to refund the first night and we shrugged it off. Then the smoke rolled in from the fires and we sadly ended up opting to go home. Kim gene us an outstanding refund. We are very grateful and will be going staying again, 2021.

Don't listen to any of these great reviews (chuckle). It's really not as perfect as they make it sound. (Lol). Kidding. If you can, you should at least once. You won't regret it.

Road Trip 19

Location, Location, Location. That about says it all. This is definitely a quirky property and comes with an unbelievable view. Its described as 'Rustic', which is fine but that shouldn't be an excuse for the property being dirty, which it certainly was. There were black cobwebs in every room, especially the main bedroom on the ceilings, walls and in the windows, they had obviously been there for a very long time and there is no excuse for that. There were also a lot of hair 'tumbleweeds' in every room too, if you're allowing animals in a property, it needs more attention to the cleaning. I don't expect to be cleaning and vacuuming for 2 hours when I arrive at a property, especially given the cost of the stay. I've found that with many of the properties I've stayed in, the better the location is, the higher the cost but the less the owners seem to maintain and clean. It's a shame really, as the whole booking process, communication etc was good.

Always a Favorite

This is the third (or fourth?) time we've stayed here over the years, and it just gets better each time. The amazing view, the soothing, comforting cottage, the fun walks to the beach...it all encourages you to slow down and enjoy life. The cabin was very clean, and there had been numerous improvements since our last stay. We enjoyed cooking on the wonderful stove, relaxing on the comfortable new furniture, and it seemed the windows might have been replaced, too? Anyway, all of the old charm was still there - including the delicious feeling of being cut off from the world. We listen to the local public radio station or the wonderful selection of CDs, play games and puzzles, read some of the wonderful books, or sit and watch the waves or the fire on cold, rainy nights. It couldn't be improved!

Serene and rustic

A truly beautiful spot on this earth. The cabin is old and creaky with a thousand stories to tell. It’s weathered but wise. Without pretense, this cabin provides the simple refuge needed to experience the view, the solitude and the continual hum of the Pacific below. Luxury doesn’t fit here but beauty, peace and gratitude do. It was exactly what we were looking for.

A slice of northwest heaven

What can I say... our time spent at the Falcon Cove cabin was nothing short of magical. While certainly rustic, the vistas looking out over the beach and north towards Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park were breathtaking. One can tell a lot of love and family has gone into this home, and we are grateful we got to spend an all too short time there. Kim was quick and efficient with communication, and was a true host to me and my brothers. Do you want to sit in a hot tub, overlooking the pacific ocean, while bald eagles and red-tailed hawks do battle BELOW you, and ask yourself is this truly real life? Then this is the rental for you.
