The property offers a private dock (seasonal) and the availability of a private pontoon rental (seasonal). The location is ideal with restaurants, family-friendly activities, nightlife, and boutique shopping just a few miles away. You’ll love Pine Point Haven because of the views, the coziness, the swimming and fishing, the outdoor activities and campfires, the sunsets, and of course... the comfy beds.

Surrounded by tall pines, aspen and birch trees on beautiful Loon Lake, Pine Point Haven offers a private setting on over 5 acres and 350 feet of lakeshore. Whether you enjoy spending the day swimming, sunbathing or fishing from your own private dock, or just relaxing by a campfire with an unparalleled sunset view, Pine Point Haven offers a truly memorable vacation spot. We invite you to come and enjoy the quiet beauty of northern Minnesota. Whether you spend the week in your private setting or take in the local entertainment, Pine Point Haven offers something for everyone:
•Relax in one of many outdoor chairs with a favorite book.
•Bike, hike, rollerblade, snowshoe or snowmobile along miles of scenic paved trails from Brainerd to Walker on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Or if you prefer to stay close, you can hike or snowshoe the woods trail located on our private acreage.
•Take in a race at Brainerd International Raceway.
•Marvel at the sunsets from your private dock. Pontoon rental is also available (seasonal).
•Experience Minnesota’s finest golf courses (The Pines, The Preserve, The Classic and others) and in the winter season many offer cross country skiing rental and trails.
•Enjoy birdwatching as you sip your morning coffee and take in the sunrise
•Dine and shop the unique stores and restaurants of Nisswa and Pequot Lakes.
•Listen to the call of the loons echo on the lake as you relax around a crackling evening campfire, or in the winter season make a warm drink and gather around a cozy outdoor campfire (for those not embracing the cold, the gas fireplace indoors is just as nice!).

• 52 inch Smart T.V. with sound bar (Netflix, Pandora and a host of others) and VCR/DVD.
•Wireless internet, so bring your laptop if you are so inclined
•Bed and bath linens provided. (in summer please bring your own beach towels).
•Kitchen with breakfast bar, Keurig coffee maker, french press, toaster, gas stove, microwave, and refrigerator.
•Deep soaking bathtub in master bedroom.
•Ceiling fans in bedrooms and also in two gathering spaces.
•Public access to boat launch within 1/4 mile.
•Wonderful lake views as cabin sits just 45 feet from the lake

Other things to note
Pine Point Haven is available for rental in every season. We happen to think that the most overlooked season is actually winter! On sunny winter days you can enjoy the south west facing windows that drench you in sunlight, or read a great book next to the cozy fireplace. If you suffer from winter blues, here is the place to go to get some much needed vitamin D.

Family weekend

We had the best time. Everything at the cabin was clean and truly, Brian and Sandy thought of everything. The most perfect family getaway. Would 10/10 recommend this for anyone!!!

Great Great Property

We rent a number of homes throughout the year and this one exceeds expectations. Every detail is covered, and the home is very comfortable and well-appointed. And, the property is amazing, quiet, with a very nice lakefront.

Gem!

The cabin is lovely - very well appointed, clean and well laid out on a wonderful piece of land overlooking a cute lake with amazing sunsets. Really fun fire pit and lots of games (indoor and outdoor) games to play. Far enough away from the Nisswa/Brainerd craziness but still close enough to anything you need. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home - Wonderful time!

What a wonderful time we had at Pine Point Haven! Sandra and Brian were wonderful hosts, made us feel welcome, and answered all our questions. The home is lovely and comfortable; overlooks the western setting sun. Had some luck fishing, which made our trip even more fun. And we were able to watch the thunderstorms over the lake from the safety of the home. Thank you, Sandra and Brian, for offering this beautiful home. We look forward to our next trip!

Wonderful getaway

My husband, dog and I stayed for 5 days and loved every minute of it. Our expectations were exceeded as the cabin and grounds were so nice, well equipped and well maintained. It felt like home! We added on the pontoon rental last minute as the weather was perfect during our stay....we appreciated the flexibility with this! We enjoyed a camp fire one night, kayaking, a puzzle, yard games and a lot of relaxing. The cabin is so close to Pequot Lakes and Nisswa so lots of options for dining and exploring! Brian and Sandy were terrific hosts with excellent communication. We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and can't wait to book again in future years!

Hosts were very responsive and accommodating... well appointed cabin and exactly as pictured and advertised. We saw the local loon pair on the lake. They are very shy... so we heard them more than we saw them. We did see several eagles fishing the lake... one day there were 3 trumpeter swans. We saw Canadian geese, several types of woodpeckers, warblers, hummingbirds, a birdwatchers paradise! We arent fishers...but we did enjoy taking the pontoon out and cruising around the lake every day... Sandy and Brian had wonderful restaurant recommendations, several within 20 minutes drive, including 2 groceries ... I had a medical issue crop up that got me up in the middle of the night... I was able to find a clinic that had an online scheduling, that showed all available appts that same day at more than one clinic... I made an appt at 820am at a clinic less than 20 minutes away... got me in right away, and also had an attached pharmacy so I was able to fill necessary meds at the same place. VERY convenient! Definitely would stay at Sandy and Brians again!

Absolutely Amazing!

Beautiful home and grounds. Interior and exterior are immaculate. The owners have anticipated your every need. Lake was very quiet and excellent fishing. Small sand beach perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter. Beds and seating areas are super comfortable. This is the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. Thank you!

Exactly what we were looking for

The property was exactly what we were looking for. It was cozy and comfortable, but still enough room for our family of four. The family room with the fire place and the chairs in front of the large windows overlooking the lake were our favorite spots to relax. We also enjoyed walking along the trail on the property to enjoy some time in the woods. Next time we will have to visit in the summer to enjoy the lake!

Great family getaway property

Impossible to get any closer to the water, even though it was frozen. In the morning sitting in the front room drinking coffee, it felt like you were on the lake. Definitely exactly as advertised. Had everything that we were look for in getting away from the Twin Cities. Would go back to enjoy the lake in the summertime.

Hello there! We are Brian and Sandra Kelly and we reside in a suburb of Minneapolis. Sandra grew up in Minneapolis and spent her summers at the family lake cabin in northern MN. Brian grew up on a dairy farm in Annandale, MN, and dreamed of having a family lake cabin in northern MN. When we met and married in our 20's, we combined our love for cabins and eventually created a family owned and operated vacation rental business in 2003. We wanted others to experience the personal connection of a cabin without the expense and hassle of owning the cabin. We love to help people find a perfect vacation rental. It is truly our passion to match our guests with the perfect vacation rental. We believe that when our guests feel good, it reflects back on us. When you rise, we rise. It is what we have been doing for over 25 years now. We have several vacation properties that we manage in the northern areas of Minnesota (where Minnesota plays). We have a love for the outdoors, nature and all wildlife and we enjoy traveling ourselves.

We purchased Pine Point Haven in 1988 as a newly married couple. Sandra's family owned the cabin next door to this property and she grew up spending all of her childhood summers at the cabin. When we met in 1981, we started spending a lot of time at the family cabin and enjoying time with extended family. We loved that time so much and realized that many people need a place to go to be able to get away from the grind of everyday life and to reconnect as a family. When the cabin next door to Sandra's family cabin became available for purchase, we jumped on the chance to make a dream come true. Over the years the cabin has transformed from the little shack with no running water, into a beautiful home with all the comforts and amenities one would ever need. We try to think of everything our guests would enjoy having during their stay.
Our mission was to truly build a space for couples or families and friends to reconnect and build lasting memories.
