Entire House - Relax and Ride at Grace Ranch

Our home sits right next to Grace Ranch and is great for a cozy getaway to the country! It boasts an extra large front porch, a great open floor plan with plenty of room to gather, 4 bedrooms, and a super fun tree house for the kids to play in. Sit on the front porch and drink your morning coffee as you take in the country views as well as getting to see the horses, cows, and goats that may pass by. Other perks are that we are less than 10 minutes to town and have some of the most beautiful sunsets!! For added fun contact Grace Ranch, at graceranch.net, and book a ranch ride. All bookings with Grace Ranch are made separately and are subject to availability. Make sure to book at least a week in advance.

Guests should be aware that there is a small staircase that has to be taken to get in and out of the house. Also, to be noted is that when we put spray foam insulation under the house it caused the floor to look wavy in some parts of the master bedroom and living room. The floor is completely solid, but it could be a nuisance if you use a walker or wheelchair.

This place is so peaceful! My grandkids love the room to run outside and the tree house. My 2yr old grand-daughter, who loves unicorns, kept calling the horses unicorns and was excited as to how close they actually got to them. There is a lot of room inside, and the rooms are great sizes. This is our 2nd time staying here, and we will be renting again when we return to Victoria.

Exactly what our family needed!

Traveling with a lot of people can be difficult. This was the easiest part of our trip and my grand babies loved the front porch and toys in the house. Perfect all around! Thank you!

Great to get back to the Grace Ranch... again!

This is a favorite retreat for our family and friends. Plenty of space, well-appointed kitchen, bedrooms and gathering area. This is a working horse ranch with a massive heard of goats as well. If you enjoy a quiet country setting, the Grace Ranch cannot be beat.

Awesome Property

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the ranch! Everything we needed was provided, just as described and shown in the pictures. Thank you for allowing us to share your place for the weekend. Look forward to visiting again and relaxing on the huge porch watching the horses and goats!

Grace Ranch

If you love the country this is the place to stay. The house is well stocked and plenty of room. Enjoyed watching the horses and goats. Loved the visits from the dog. My granddaughters fell in love with the donkey. Will definitely stay here again ❤️

Country Side Stay

Group of us doing the local Texas River Marathon canoe race. This place is located in the middle of where we wanted to paddle. Four bedrooms with 1 bath took a little shuffling with 7 folks getting ready in the morning. Daughter works with horses at a boarding ranch at home. So she was a happy girl here. Nice and quite with plenty of room.

We absolutely loved our stay. We went down for our daughter’s wedding. They allowed us to cook all the food we needed to for our daughter’s wedding that was held at different location and there was no room for us to do at the wedding location. Loved the fact that they didn’t charge per person after so many like other places. The ad mentioned the floor being a little off bc of the spray foam. I will say that this didn’t bother me at all. The house was so comfortable and temp didn’t vary much from thermostat because it was spray foamed. Loved seeing all the horses and animals. My son and daughter walked right up and pet them. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch. We played some washers. And had a blast. We loved it so much that we said we will go back. Even if we are gonna go to the beach, we will stay and drive rather than stay at the beach.

Not a 5-star Experience

It pains me to have to give a review that is less than 5 stars, but I feel that it is necessary for this rental. I have stayed with my family in many rental properties over the years, and this just was not a 5-star experience. First, this listing leaves out the fact that this farmhouse is more like a double wide home that sits on blocks. When you drive up, there’s no driveway; you literally just pull up on grass to the porch. We arrived at our rental around 5:30pm (check-in time was anytime after 3pm). We went inside and the place had not been cleaned (dirty laundry in piles on the floor, etc). We called the owners and they quickly put us up in a hotel for the night and reimbursed us for one night’s stay and the cleaning fee. We greatly appreciated this and the only reason this rental gets 3 stars instead of 2 is because the owners were so kind. They had someone clean the property so we could return the next afternoon. Upon returning, it was clean enough, but it was not stellar. Much of the house just felt like things were “thrown around”. The toys were all missing pieces and thrown about. The game closet was a mess, boxes undone, pieces everywhere. Property binder stated you had to use distilled water in Keurig and noted they supplied distilled water in the cabinet, but none was there—we never used the Keurig due to this. The Wi-Fi network/password given on their listing didn’t work, so we had to contact the owners to get this worked out. The kitchen and bathroom had funky smells. There was only one bathroom, which we knew when we rented this property. However, this property clearly had a 2nd bathroom off the master bedroom that was just locked—not sure if it’s broken or just used for storage, but this feels a little misleading and frustrating as a renter. The rug in the master bedroom was stained. There were visible dips in the floors; it felt like you’d fall through when walking across the floor. The horses did roam around which was fun, but that did mean a lot of poop, which made the playhouse really inconvenient to use, unfortunately. To top it all off, when we had to strip all our bedding for check out, the mattress pad cover on our bed was stained (not by us). This place needs cleaned thoroughly, bedding and rugs need replaced, the floors and 2nd bathroom need repaired, and overall, the listing needs to be updated to show an honest picture of this house from the outside. Nice owners!! However, an overall disappointing experience for us.

I was truly so sad for this family. We have been using a new cleaning service since January and they have done a great job, however they no showed on this job and I had to let them go. We’ve rented this property for two years and never had this happen and we’re very sad it happened to you. You did give some good ideas, I will definitely take a pic of the house pulled back from the outside. I’m sorry you felt misled. That is not our heart. We’ve definitely never stated this property is a farmhouse. I will look into each of your concerns. If there is a stain on the rug it must be new and we will definitely throw it out. The bedding was all bought brand new a year ago. We do frequently stay in this home ourselves and I’ve not seen a stain on it yet, replacing nice/in stained bedding seems a stretch. I will definitely look into the stain you saw when you stripped the bedding. On the toy situation. I do frequently go throw broken toys out, which there are always some from wear and tear of kids, it is however hard to believe they are all broke given the amount and nature of toys we have in the house. We often hear from families how glad they were for the toys. As far as the horse poop, The horses roam on about 100 acres in the spot where the house is, it is hard to imagine how the little spot where the play house was had enough poop to prevent play. However if any horse poop at all is too much then this is probably not the rental for you, this is definitely a real country experience. I’m also not sure on the smells in the kitchen and bathroom because that is not typical. There is a room off the master that is gutted out and used for storage, we do hope to put a new bathroom in there in the next year, but have just not been able to do that financially yet, that is why it is advertised as 1 bathroom and that room is locked. There is some bubbling in the floor from all the rain we had over the last year, I do take issue with the idea that it feels like you could fall through the floor. That feels like a very big misrepresentation of reality. The floor has some bubbling in a couple places, but is completely solid. Again, we’re very sorry about your experience, we were very frustrated too.

Wonderful location

This ranch was wonderful! It was perfect for the quick family gathering we had. There were 9 adults and there was plenty of room for every one. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a quick night stay. The owners gave great detailed directions on how to get to the property. I would recommend.

Complete privacy in a farm style setting, hows was nicely decorated and we spent most of our time on the porch watching the horses and goats.

Great to get back to the Grace Ranch!

We are repeat visitors and will continue to come back. The peaceful country setting is fabulous. The ranch house is very spacious and wonderfully appointed. It has a full kitchen with all appliances, plus a utility room. There is cable TV and Wi-Fi, but you likely won't need this entertainment because all you need can be seen from the huge covered front deck. More beautiful horses than you can count, and a large trip of goats moving by the ranch house each day. Just wonderful! The owners are most gracious and responsive too!

Wonderful ranch retreat!!

Our group absolutely loved this ranch! The country setting was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the interaction with the horses and all the animals. The house was fully appointed and clean and was a great gathering place for our family and friends. We will certainly be back. Our compliments to the owners!! Thank you very much.

Perfect for us and our pups

My family was getting together at my niece’s house in Victoria for Thanksgiving. We live in Alabama and wanted to bring our Shih Tzu’s with us. As family found out about the horse ranch, one by one they wanted to come visit us. And I was a little worried about how the dogs would react to the horses, but they were all perfectly fine. If available, we will stay here again on our next trip to Victoria.

Peaceful retreat

Extremely clean - well stocked home. The front porch is a special spot to enjoy the beautiful horses and goats. The home is comfortable and inviting. The sunsets are incredible and breathtaking from this spot. Loved being tucked away from the world on the ranch. The owners are personable and attentive! Definitely would recommend to others.

We are the Hoagland's and we love living life to the fullest! We spend a lot of our time playing sports (football, basketball, baseball, and soccer) and the rest of our time on horses playing rodeo. My wife is an incredible horse trainer and competes in barrel racing at professional rodeos. We travel a lot with our horses in a truck and trailer. We look forward to hosting you if you stay with us in Victoria, Texas at Grace Ranch or when we might be staying with you when we are in your area.

If you enjoy nature and love horses you will love this property! Horses roam freely on the place and you can sit out on the dance floor sized front porch and just enjoy the view with a good cup of coffee. Beautiful sunsets are common as you look out across the pasture. If you have kids, the tree house out front is a blast! Our kids helped us build it one year, it is where our boys first learned to how work with tools! Our girls gave it a shot as well, but they were still pretty young at the time. This property was originally our home and it is a special place for us. We hope as you vacation here that you get a sense of the love and laughter that has been shared in this space!
