Cottage Manua by Tahiti Homes

The Cottage Manua is a small charming vacation rental located on the motu Temae in the northeast of the island of Moorea.
Motu Temae is an ancient islet attached to the mainland. It is a unique place in Moorea, much appreciated by local and international travelers for its ambiance and rustic landscapes worthy of the Polynesian atolls. The green vegetation, composed of the famous miki miki shrub, twisted and resistant to salinity, borders the long white sand beach. The particularity of the motu Temae is the narrow lagoon that borders it, offering the possibility to observe whales, when it is the season (August to October), from the beach itself as the ocean is close. Several pools with white coral sand are accessible for swimming and snorkeling.

Accessible from the road along the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, Cottage Manua is located in a servitude in the heart of a small residential community of houses and bungalows.

Surrounded by an exotic and tropical garden, the Cottage Manua is composed of two air-conditioned bedrooms located on the first floor, a bathroom, and a mezzanine bedroom with fan.

Its wooden architecture and its bohemian chic decoration bring all the charm to this holiday home for a serene vacation.

The large air-conditioned living room with kitchen opens onto a large terrace overlooking the garden. Its high ceilings allow a constant freshness of the room which also accommodates a table soccer.

Facilities such as WIFI internet, snorkels and barbecue are also available to guests free of charge.

The Manua Cottage comfortably accommodates 6 adults or 4 adults and two children.

The beach is just a few minutes away by foot, following a narrow path that winds through the various houses of this small residential area.

A rental car is essential during your stay as public transportation is non-existent in this part of the island. Contact us to arrange your rental.
The property is fully fenced and closed by an electric gate.

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful, comfortable little house just a short walk from the beach! It was the perfect size for our family (3 kids), plus it's in a nice area and close to shops and restaurants. We had excellent communication with the hosts who were very kind and helpful! We would definitely love to stay here again!

Wonderful family vacation

We had a great time. Well equipped with all our needs like a washing machine, coffee machine, excellent kitchen appliances and more. Good location near Temae Beach and lots of great restaurants & fun attractions. Nice backyard where the kids can play. AC all over the house and easy communication with hosts. The only things to be aware of is the slow wifi & a slightly bumpy road close to the house. Even though wifi was slow, we had a cellular package and reception was good. Overall we had an amazing time and would recommend.

Temae beach vacation

Overall a great experience, some minor inconveniences -the road to the house is riddled with potholes, no outdoor chairs (loungers or lawn chairs) . Very close to ocean , activities, restaurants & shops.

Delightful neighborhood

Comfortable house, especially main bedroom bed. Had everything needed to cook a few meals. Loved the location - able to drive around the airport to Temae Beach (tons smoother drive than road from main highway!) and able to walk to beach.

Beautiful cottage

I enjoyed my time here. Everything I needed was supplied. Clean and lots of light. Air conditioning was perfect. Great communication with the property manager. Very sweet and cheerful. Loved the solitude of the beautiful beach not far from the cottage. Spent quite a bit of time there. Thank you for letting me stay in your beautiful cottage. ☺️

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Cottage Manua! They were really flexible for check-in and check-out which was amazing since we had an infant with us. The house was really well equipped and very close to the beach!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is close to the ocean and the golf course and a perfect place to explore the island from. The house had everything we needed. Air conditioning was appreciated. The house was very clean and we would highly recommend staying here.

Comfortable and Relaxing Stay

We had a wonderful four-night stay with our family (kids ages 6 and 8). Communication with the property manager and the check in/out was quick and easy. The kitchen we well-equipped and we liked having a washer and dryer. The foosball table and back patio (cat included) were fun for the kids. We appreciated the filtered water and coffee. Our daughter loved the loft area! We liked being on this side of the island as it was only a five minute drive to Temae beach, which was incredible! We went there two days. The walkable beach from the house was also lovely, but water shoes are needed for the coral. We even had dinner at the golf course one night, which is very close. Would recommend and stay again!

Relaxing beach vacation

The cottage was spacious and had a private back porch area. The beach was only a short walk away and was never busy. Overall, we really enjoyed our time on Moorea and hope to come back soon!

Great getaway close to the beach!

We enjoyed the beach and how close the house was to the ferry and restaurants. The unit was stocked with everything we needed.

Beautiful Cottage with Beach Vibes

This was a great home base for our family of 4. The air conditioned bedrooms are nicely decorated and cozy. There is lots of space to relax in the common area. The fooseball table was a fun diversion. The neighborhood feels safe and people are friendly. Its by an airport but dont let that deter you - we only heard 3 or 4 planes in 5 days. The beach is not too far away. You can hear the waves crashing. There is a protecrive reef there. The water is shallow at the beach There are a few spots to wade waist high and look at the fish and coral. The only downside is there is only one bathroom, which may be more difficult for larger parties

Temae stay

The house is excellent. Well set out, well maintained, exceptionally clean, well stocked with essentials, and in a good location, just up from Temae beach and adjacent to the golf course (if you’re into golf). The snorkelling on the reef closest to the house is great - just be ware of the current, particularly as the tides turn. Great hikes in the area also.

Long stay in tahitti

Nice house. House only has one restroom, so for larger groups you need to plan ahead for time in bathroom. Renting company is very particular with linens. They actually counted every piece of bedding and towel when we checked out. Never experienced that with a rental property before. We rent our home and do not count every thing like they do! One wash cloth was washed with something red so it was pinkish in color. Said they may have to charge me, but didn't. There information book for house as only in French. Translated what we needed. Trash recycle bins were a pain because the book didn't explain it very well and in French. Reached out to host for better instructions but did not recieve then until last day. Directions to house are not very good. They sent us pictures to reference but they are not correct. All property's there are hard to find because they don't use numbers like most places do. Overall nice house with a short walk to a remote beach..
