SUPERB LOCATION in Galena territory. This 2 bedroom 2 Bathroom townhome is located on Galena territory. Yes, the home is on the golf course. Galena territory offers many outdoor activities as well as museums, distilleries and the home of Ulysses S Grant. As a guest, you have an access to the owners club amenities such as fitness center, basketball and tennis courts, game rooms, indoor/outdoor pools etc. There is a flight of stairs to get to unit(picture provided)

This home comes with fully stocked kitchen for cooking, HIGH-speed WIFI

We enjoyed our stay here. The place is extremely clean. The furniture could use a bit of updating: cushions on the couch are pretty flat. There were exactly 4 towels, three hand towels, and some wash cloths. If we had more than 4 people (sleeps 6) it would have been a problem. Because it's pet friendly, there was a slight dog smell. So if you are anti-animals, this might not be the place for you. We didn't mind at all. The last two issues may be due to the cleaning company rather than the owner.The location is lovely. The owner is very responsive. We couldn't find a remote for the bedroom, and the owner had one shipped the next day. Very nice!

This property was very clean, cozy and I love the fact that is pet friendly. The only thing that was a problem for me was the main bed in the master bedroom. I have back problems, and the bed was very hard. Perhaps, a mattress topper would do the trick.

Townhome

Enjoyed our stay with family. Loved using the territory community center for swimming and games. Great shops and restaurants (especially Vinnie Vinnuchi) n downtown Galena. The only negative to this townhome is that it needs some refreshing to its furniture and decor.

The condo was very clean. All the beds were very uncomfortable, owner should invest in better mattresses. Condo was advertised as golf course view and our unit had no visible golf course views. Also ads showed parking right in front of the unit and our parking was up on a hill with two sets of stairs to haul all our things.

Comfortable and Clean

This property was perfect for a short family getaway. The area was safe and the condo is situated close to Galena and the surrounding area. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice relaxing weekend

It was a very nice place, which has everything you need for a weekend. Enough sleeping spots and a great location. The only slight minus of this place was the real wood fireplace and not having matches to start it.

Great stay!

Me and 4 of my friends enjoyed a "girls weekend" without husbands and kids. It's in a beautiful vacation and fit our needs for two nights. Only recommendation is it could use new living room furniture enough to seat 6 people that the condo accommodates. Overall very clean condo, but the couch had a slight odor probably due to old French fries /food under the cushion. We would definitely stay there again!

Creekwood

The 2 bedroom with loft was perfect for our young family. This grouping of units did have 2 sets of stairs to walk down to get to. Everything was great and the host was easily reachable for any questions. Unfortunately they were doing maintenance work the first morning, which was unknown to the host or us, but made us start our first day promptly at 7am.

Very quiet, close to nature “retreat”. Clean, well stocked with all necessary items for a pleasant stay. The only drawback I could think of was the fact that because it was tucked away from any major town, planning became important. You couldn’t just hop in the car and get a few groceries. Minor inconvenience.

BEWARE

I never leave reviews, but this time I must… if you are looking for a place in Galena… do not book this place. First, the place is extremely outdated and the pictures are NOT a clear depiction of what you are renting. Second, the place is NOT clean. We tried to make coffee. The coffee maker was disgusting! We had to wash it three times and it still did not clean well. We decided not to use the coffee maker (drip). They also have a Keurig. We cleaned that one and finally were able to make a cup of coffee. The couch is so OLD the cushions are flat. The worse thing, while taking showers, the bathtub didn’t drain. Finally, we noticed that water from the showers leak to the fake wood floors in the bathrooms. The water is underneath the wood and when you stand on it, the water started coming up through the floor. Called the host and he said he would wait for us to leave the property to have it checked out, that meant one night dealing with this issue. No discussion of a partial refund…..NOTHING… Horrible!!!! BEWARE

It was nice, but to many steps for elderly Mom. There was no shower soap or hair soap, and towels we didn't have very many. Older refrigerator with no handle to open and throw rug over carpet to cover spots in rug in downstairs bedroom. The unit needs to be up dated. That being said, it has good beds and cozy feel to it. My sisters were happy.

Liked that this was everything you see in the listing. It is quiet, cozy, comfortable, and clean. It has a nice view from the back deck. Though we didn't use the upstairs area; the appliances/tv's worked in the lower kitchen/living room/bedroom areas without issue, and had no trouble with the bed or furniture inside. I also liked the location. Close enough to enjoy the town and surrounding areas by car; but without hassles of parking/crowds you might encounter in a downtown hotel. Some beautiful scenery to view along the access road between the complex and US-20. I wished I knew in advance about the distance from the lot to the unit; the amount of stairs (not only inside, but outside to get to the unit from the parking lot); and the low height of the toilets and showers. This unit may not be as comfortable for older folks with some mobility issues. As my partner has been recovering from a recent knee-replacement surgery; stairs have been difficult for her. Having 8-10 steps outside to get from the parking lot to the front door AND a half-landing inside to get to the kitchen/living room was really hard on her. Only mentioning because of my rookie mistake of relying on the listing pics and not asking directly about the stairs ahead of time. Also didn't see this mentioned in other reviews at the time I'd booked it. I own this blame. Otherwise, Dario & team were helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to do another vacation rental through them in the future.

Tired Condo

1. Old and bleached stained towels 2. Old and worn bed sheets. 3. Paint peeling off walls in several places in upstairs bath. 4. Mold forming on makeshift trim around upstairs tub. 5. Temperature poorly controlled on main level. 6. Dust everywhere. Cleaning is less that to be desired. 7. No scoring pads in kitchen, therefore, pans were not clean and could not be used. 8. Furniture and decorations were old, worn and tired. 9. Overpriced per night compared to other properties in the area. 10. We will not stay at this property again but instead look for other opportunities.
