This Montana Paradise Home is a beautiful, spacious, mountain view home located just 7 miles north of downtown Whitefish and 50 minutes from Glacier National Park. This home was recently completely remodeled and includes full length windows, log and beam construction throughout, hardwood floors, with a beautiful open concept design. Relax in your hot tub while admiring the Whitefish Mountain Range! Privately located on 20 acres with views of the Whitefish Mountain Range, this home is sure to please. This mountain retreat features two large private decks, one of which overlooks a private 4 acre pond. The other deck has a large gas grill with a seating area and is perfect for an evening of stargazing. Surrounded by Tamarack trees, have a relaxing soak in the hot tub and take in the sites and smells of the forest with the beautiful mountain range in the distance. Grab some lawn chairs and sit and watch the geese, herons and muskrats playing in the water. With dynamic two-story floor to ceiling windows on the east and south side of the home, natural light abounds. The log and beam main living area, boasts expansive windows with the amazing views. The grand, natural stone gas fireplace makes this area the perfect place for après ski. The gourmet kitchen offers an abundance of cabinet and counter-top space with a commercial grade gas cook-top and breakfast bar. You will definitely be the center of attention when preparing the day's feast! The separate dining area offers additional seating with a view. Does part of the group want to chat and the other part want to watch a movie? There is a separate living area in this home re-pleat with a bar and 70 inch tv with Sonos surround sound. The home is designed with 3 bedrooms (one of the master suites is in a loft over the kitchen), a bunk bed loft and 4 baths. The two master bedrooms have a king bed and private bath, the third bedroom has a queen bed and a private bath. The loft has a twin over double bunk bed. The whole house and property are yours to enjoy. No fishing or swimming in the ponds. Please note- there is no cell service. High speed internet available (Starlink)

Extraordinary Vacation

Our family had been wanting to visit Montana for years and this trip checked all of the boxes! The property had incredible views of the surrounding mountains, wildlife and amazing sunsets. The house itself was beautifully done, extremely well equipped, spacious and absolutely gorgeous. The location was perfectly located about 12-15 minutes outside of Whitefish and about 45-60 minutes to the West entrance of Glacier National Park. This location allowed us to easily check out many of the restaurants/shops in Whitefish while still making it to Glacier 5 out of the 9 days we were there. The scenery and views were absolutely breathtaking!Our host, Aaron could not have been more accommodating. He did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. He even went out of his way to find me after we had checked out to notify me that we had forgotten a valuable personal item. His honesty and genuine goodwill is sincerely appreciated and will not be forgotten. We very much look forward to our next visit! Thanks again for amazing stay!

Off the Grid

Although it was not disclosed in the listing, this property and its location permit little to no cellular service and a completely sub-standard internet service. Streaming YoutubeTV requires 5mb. This property has a cellular service but it is rarely above 2meg - totally insufficient to stream any TV applications. We expected many stairs and were not disappointed in that regard. Stairs and Technology aside, the house is well-appointed and picturesque. Unfortunately we had hoped to relax with our own meals at the house and watch NFL playoffs and College football…but we found ourselves driving into Whitefish to find TVs. So if you want off the grid, this place is nice. But understand, you will have little to no cellular or internet at this property. The host was somewhat communicative and did respond by sending a maintenance person over for a couple of minor repairs (fireplace not working and shower light high up burnt out). The host has somewhat they can with the local ISP however to no avail. “Zero cellular Nd zero internet” should have been part of the listing. As such I feel I greatly overpaid.

Amazing property!

We booked the house through VRBO / Explore Montana rentals. Booking was smooth and easy. Our contact Stephanie was great! Not only was she professional and polite, but she also made the experience effortless and was accommodating always. It was much appreciated! The property is beautiful! There was plenty of room in this house for us to gather as a group on the deck for some sun,, Meet at the wet bar for a cocktail or soak in the tub after a day of skiing. We could also get away for some peace and privacy in the large spacious bedrooms. The house was completely stocked with everything a guest could need. We had zero complaints and staying here was a highlight of our ski trip!

Our family Getaway

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The bedrooms were great. The beds very comfortable. The kitchen was amazing and we used it to its fullest extent as we prepared all of our meals there and ate together at the big table in the dining area near the fireplace. We loved the porch overlooking the pond and all of the waterfowl that came and went throughout our stay. The view was stunning. It was a wonderful place for our family to be together. We had a toddler with us so the portable crib and highchair was a plus. We definitely used the jacuzzi and it was a real blessing after all of our hiking and fishing. We also used the washer and dryer. There were some oddities about the place but they did not detract from our vacation time together. We loved being there and all of us fondly waved goodbye to the cabin on our way out.

Stunning Property with Incredible Sunsets!

This rental is aesthetically exquisite. The property is beautiful and the home itself is stunning. There is a ton of light and space and the bedrooms are each lovely. The reason we gave only four stars is that there were a few little issues that did not align with the splendor of the property itself and the price we paid for our 10-night stay . First, upon arrival the TV remote controls didn't work and there were multiple lightbulbs burnt out. The property manager was very responsive and brought new remotes the next day, but the initial impression we got had a little tinge of shabbiness that didn't match the home. Second, we ran out of dishwasher detergent after one run (there was just enough in the near-empty container at the home for the first go). The property manager was again very responsive but the response was that we needed to go into town to pick up more. This was slightly off-putting, again because of how much we were paying and the expectations arising from the exterior splendor of the home. When we ran out of toilet paper on the fourth day, we didn't even bother to ask if there was more at the home, assuming the onus was on us to go shopping. Overall, the home is unmatched in beauty but we experienced little problems--which never arose in other luxury rentals we've visited in Montana--that slightly detracted from our stay. That said, we might stay there again as we now know exactly what to expect and will come prepared!

AMAZING family vacation

Our family stayed at Tamarack Place for our daughter's senior trip before leaving for college. The house was beautiful and the property and views were spectacular. It is about 40 minutes from Glacier National Park west entrance. The house is stocked and appliances are great! We had a fabulous time. Especially enjoyed the hot tub at night. Star gazing was incredible Family is already planning a second trip! :) Thank you so much!!

4th of July Family trip

Our family goes to Montana every 4th of July. We have never enjoyed a home as much as we did this. It is absolutely gorgeous and the location is incredible. It is no more than 10 minutes outside of Whitefish and a very easy drive. The home has everything you could want and is very clean (which is a big one for me). Watching wild life from the beautiful balcony was one of the many highlights. I could go on and on about this home and why we loved it so much, but all I will end with; if you have the opportunity to rent this, don't let it go by. We will definitely always try for this home first, whether in the summer or winter. My family was saying how gorgeous it must be in the winter!! Alex from Rolling Hills, CA

Great home with beautiful view!

The home was absolutely beautiful! We spent a lot of time cooking dinners in the kitchen and it was great & well equipped. The views are stunning. The beds were really comfortable. You are isolated and out in nature yet not too far from town. Be prepared for little to no Internet, which for us with teenagers was great! We had a small a/c issue but Hilary was very responsive! Overall, great house and great vacation! I highly recommend!

Quiet and serene

You couldn’t ask for a better location. About 10 min from downtown Whitefish. The cabin was amazing. No complaints. The host was quick and responsive. We loved the quiet and waking up to the sound of the birds in the morning. The kids had the best time exploring. Perfect scenery for coffee on the balcony..

Spacious, Luxurious Rental with a View

Spacious, luxurious home with great views. This house really gives Montana vibes with it's decor and structure. Very spacious for large groups and great areas for lounging, cooking, and dining. Kitchen was fully stocked with tools, spices, etc and the hot tub was great. Semi secluded location but easy to navigate and just a quick trip from downtown Whitefish and Big Mountain. We came here in the winter but I'm sure the surrounding grounds would be amazing to explore in the summer.

Peaceful Getaway

This house provided a wonderful retreat for our first stay in Montana. The peace and quiet was just what we needed. I wish we had not planned so many activities we needed to go to -would have loved to just hang out and relax for a few days.

Great Stay

We are Montana experts, our family have been going there for years. Property is out of the way and beautiful. Well maintained, no issues with any of the typical house things. There are essentially two living rooms (large) dining areas, a bar and the deck. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck overlooking the pond and watching the wildlife and sunsets. We saw many deer, birds, an eagle and a black bear. The house is divided in such a way that two families can easily mingle or find their own space. Two of the bedrooms are lofts so the privacy isn’t 100% but certainly private enough. We were in the lofted masters and could hear people in the rooms below. Just something to keep in mind. Big two car garage. We didn’t park in the garage but it was a great place to put your gear (we had fishing gear) before you go up and into the house itself. You can’t wear your shoes in the house (signs are clear) so bring slippers! We bought some during our stay because a few of us are tenderfeet with plantar fasciitis. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks

Idyllic Paradise

The home is gorgeous and comfortable. The area is great for strolls in the country side. Deer and wild turkeys adorn the glass like pond in front of the cabin. I highly recommend this for a family vacation. If someone has trouble climbing stairs, they should be advised there are many in the home. Also, the internet is unreliable. It did not matter to us one bit. We had a great time. The cool air provided refreshing reprieve from the scorching heat of our home in Southern Utah. My wife and kids loved walking down the country roads and meeting a very friendly three legged husky mix with a collar that read “Stubbs.” Whitefish is a lovely town with great restaurants. The architecture is beautiful and the town is easy to navigate. We were very glad we came.

Lakeview Property

The house and property were beautiful and amazing! Just an fyi, if you need internet, phone or tv, this is not the place for you, you must go into town to make calls, and the internet is not powerful enough to watch tv or to use for anything else. There are also a LOT of stairs, so be aware of that. The second bedroom with a master is a n open loft upstairs, all rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is amazing with all Thermador appliances. Don’t get me wrong, the home is outstanding, we were just not prepared for the internet, cell phones, or TV to not work. Knowing all of that, would we book it again? Yes, we would just know ahead that we would have to do a short drive into town for internet or calls. The views are outstanding and it is very peaceful; very well built home, beautifully decorated and designed. ,

Montana Hideaway

What a fantastic house to spend time in while enjoying Whitefish and the surrounding beauty. Great house. 4 of us stayed there and had plenty of space. The balcony with views of the ponds and mountains were favorites of us all each morning. Easy 15-20 min drive to Whitefish which we fell in love with. WiFi was patchy at best and hot water was a little rough when we all needed to get ready. No cell service. Overall though we spent a lot of time in the house for R&R and enjoyed it immensely. Fixing the small issues above (if possible, may just be the way it is) would take this recently updated beautiful house from great to exceptional. Thank you for such a wonderful house to stay.
