We are offering this charming duplex for rent in the village of Le Palais on Belle-Île-en-Mer, less than a kilometre from the beach. It has a floor area of 47 m² and can accommodate up to 3 guests. Situated on the 2nd floor (no lift), it comprises a lovely 20 m² living room, a fully fitted kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included – we’re just waiting for you!
The accommodation is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor:
- A 20 m² living room with a flat-screen TV, sofa (fixed, not a sofa bed), coffee table and dining area.
- A fully fitted kitchen including: electric kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto pod coffee machine...
- A bathroom with a bath and toilet.
Upstairs:
- A mezzanine with a double bed (140×190)
- A small bedroom with a single bed.
The flat is ideally situated in Le Palais, in a very pleasant setting right in the heart of the town, 200 m from the jetty. You’ll find all the essential shops nearby, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars and a market…
Nearby:

Activities:
Set off to explore the largest of the Breton islands; whether you’re a fan of water sports, the taste of the sea, art or simply up for an adventure, you’re sure to be delighted by these unique experiences. Pay a visit to Sarah Bernardt, who settled on the island in the late 19th century; you can tour her estate. To do so, head north-west across the island towards Sauzon, a picturesque harbour and a must-see on the island. Continue exploring the island and its iconic sites:
- Climb the Grand Phare.
- Visit the church at Locmaria.
- Admire the rock formations at Port Coton.
- Visit the Pointe des Poulains.
- Go on a boat trip.
- Visit the Vauban citadel…
Cuisine: try ‘pouce-pied’ (a type of barnacle), honey from the black bee, or ‘agneau du large’ (lamb reared on the coast).
- Events: Entertainment every Wednesday evening in July and August.
Transport:
If you choose to come by car, you can park for free near the house. You can travel to Belle-Île-en-Mer with your own car by booking through certain ferry companies.
As for other modes of transport, here is some information that may be useful:
- Bus: you can explore the island by booking seats on a sightseeing bus during the summer.
- Nearest ferry terminal: Port du Palais, 200 m away; ferries depart from the terminals at Vannes, Quiberon, Locmariaquer, Port-Navalo and Le Croisic.
- Nearest airport: Lorient Airport.
- Car hire: you can hire a car directly in Le Palais (in summer, it is best to book in advance).
Other points to note:

- Free Wi-Fi available.
- The sofa in the living room is fixed and cannot be used as a bed.
- The cabin-style bedroom is in the attic.
- Pets allowed (only one pet permitted) at an additional cost; please specify this when booking. (€15 per stay)
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future guests. Please leave it in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
- Please note that Belle-Île-en-Mer does not have a dedicated cycle path, and the island is hilly.
