Hide Away Log Cabin nestled in a serene setting in Beautiful Bath County, Va.

If you're looking for a quite, secure and lovely vacation that is Pet Friendly and close to nature then this is the spot. Our log cabin has a large covered front porch with 2 rocking chairs and a large deck on the back of the cabin with a table and 4 chairs. The cabin is heated and cooled for year around use. It also has a Jotel wood stove and firewood is available for $20.00 per wood box full. Please let the owners know in advance if you want firewood and it will be available when you check in. The cabin has a fully functional kitchen, with a double sink, bar with bar stools, microwave and stocked with everything you need to prepare your favorite meal. The bath has a Beautiful Hand Carved Red Wood sink, a full size tub and shower and commode. It is fully furnished with everything you need except your personal items. The down stairs bedroom has a twin bed and a full size closet. There is a dining room table with chairs located next to the kitchen. The living room features a Beautiful Antler Chandelier and an entertainment center with satellite TV and WY Fi There's a beautiful wooden staircase that leads to the loft which has a queen size bed overlooking the Beautiful Antler Chandelier that lights up the living room area. This bedroom also has a lounge chair for relaxing after a long day exploring the beautiful outdoors. There is a washer and dryer in the basement that is available for long term visitors ( 5 days or more). You're only 15 minutes from The World Renowned Omni Homestead, 3.7 miles from the Warm Springs Pools, 60 miles from Snowshoe Resort and 1 hour from The Greenbrier in White Sulphur, West Va. This cabin is located 10 minutes from the U S Forest Service Hidden Valley Recreational Area which has trout fishing, bird watching, hiking and mountain bike trails. Your only 30 minutes from Lake Moomaw which has boating, fishing, tubing, picnicking and camping. This cabin has it's own private entrance, parking area and also an out building to park your Mt. bikes in. Bath County has something for everyone and we would love to have you come stay with us.

Cozy cabin in a lovely part of the Commonwealth! Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Great trails around to hike and explore. And the wood stove was quintessential to a quaint autumnal jaunt.

The cabin was amazing! The host had turned on the motion lights for us because we were coming in late. Also the heat was on. There was wood already chopped and ready for us to use in the wood stove. The place is clean and beautiful! They checked on us to make sure we made it in. So nice and we can't wait to go back! The property is beautiful and everything was perfect. I was able to relax and my son was able to play with the dog.

What a lovely setting for the cabin with hiking trails right out the front door! We enjoyed a bonfire at night and watching an incredible night sky with thousands of bright stars. The cabin was incredibly cleaned, well stocked with cookware and all you need for a good night's sleep and a hot shower. It's a brief drive to the soaking pools and two incredible restaurants for dinner too. The hosts were there if we needed them - definitely recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful time on our girls trip at your cabin. It was very relaxing, and there was a lot of property to explore. We saw some wildlife, which was pretty cool and the starry nights were beautiful. Definitely a much needed vacation!

Had a great and relaxing time in their quaint little cabin with all the amenities you need and wonderful hiking trails around the cabin we ventured out on a few times! We saw a black bear, several deer, a coyote, and hummingbirds! Great place to have downtime and enjoy Gods creation!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. The cabin is simply adorable, it is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need. If you are a hiker, or a kayaker, this is the place for you.John and Linda Pound are superb hosts. We are sorry to have to leave.

Amazing cabin and location

This cabin is amazing. We love to stay in cabins and this one of John and Linda's is one of the best!!!!! It is everything and more as described. I'm already trying to plan to return again and hopefully, we will be able to spend a week. A great place to relax and unwind.

Hideaway Cabin is Lovely!

The cabin is well appointed and comfortable. It was nice to be able to hike on the private grounds. We enjoyed the porch and the deck too. Best of all was the bird song, frog symphony and fireflies they bracketed the day.

Perfect Quiet Spot

We loved the location, the trails on the property, finding Hidden Valley close by, exploring the campgrounds, trails, and fishing. But this was a working vacation so we need to return to enjoy the cabin more. Loved all the older antique furnishings, the homey touch, and of course the porch ! We are real familiar with Bath Co and this was the perfect spot to stay ! Thanks !

I worked for the Virginia Game Department for 38 years and have been retired sense 2010. I love the outdoors and was very fortunate to make my career working in an environment I truly love. My wife has been retired sense 2006 and loves the outdoors and gardening.

If you're looking for a fun, quite and beautiful get away then this is the place. It has privacy, large yard and plenty of wooded trails to explore. It's only minutes away from The Omni Hotel, skiing, golf courses, Lake Moomaw, The Warm Springs Pools, grocery store, drug store and thousands of acres of National Forest property.

Our cabin is located on 135 acres of mostly wooded mountain property with over 4 miles of hiking and Mt. bike trails. We adjoin the Hidden Valley Recreationally Area, which is over 16,500 acres and has miles and miles of hiking, Mt. bike trails, trout fishing, and bird watching. You can walk out the front door of this cabin and access everything mentioned above and never have to get in your vehicle. This is an Outdoorsman Paradise just waiting for you.
Bath County has one of the lowest numbers of COVID 19 cases in Virginia. We clean everything using suggested cleaning methods recommended by VRBO.
We would love having you come to Bath County and enjoy all of the Natural Beauty that exists here.
Our Home Owners Insurance Policy doesn't include Renters Insurance so our Renters need to either purchase the $89.00 policy, that covers damages up to $3,000.00, or pay the $3,000.00, up front which is fully refundable if no damages occur.
