As you explore all this beautiful home offers, be sure to check out the main level master bathroom. That tub is to die for! And did you see the dual-level decks, fun game room, or the newly upgraded kitchen? Whatever you are yearning for in your dream Deep Creek vacation, Best of Both Worlds is sure to deliver!

Location Highlights: Located in a picturesque community directly adjacent to Wisp Resort, you are just a short walk away from a fun day at Wisp Resort, whether you are skiing in the winter or enjoying the resort's many other activities year-round, including golf, ropes courses, and an outdoor mountain coaster. The distance to Wisp is so short that you can walk there in about a minute! Inside the community, guests are welcome to enjoy use of the free community tennis courts, within a 30 second walk of the home. The nearby Mountain State Brewing Company is a popular destination, known for their local craft beers and delicious wood-fire pizzas.

Dog Friendly Notice: Maximum of two dogs per reservations. A $175/non-refundable fee will be added for each dog (not included in original rental price). Dogs should be well-behaved, trained, and friendly; dogs with a history of aggression or destruction are not permitted. In order to comply with many of our home's rental insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned for all rentals, regardless of individual training and temperament. If you are planning to bring a dog, please reach out to us upon booking to discuss your dogs breed to get final approval from our staff.

Excellent communication and checking in from the host. The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. We had 4 families total, everyone had their own room/space, the beds were all comfortable, and everything worked as expected. The proximity to WISP/very short walk to the slopes and tubing was really ideal with smaller kids. We had a great stay and would definitely book here again!

Found this property when looking for family gathering for WVU graduation. Only 50min from Morgantown. The property was beautiful and clean. Excellent communications and responses from manager. Absolutely would stay again.

Great Family Place

Our family really enjoyed ourselves a this home. We typically stay on the mountain at a ski in/ski out but the location of this home made it very easy for everyone to walk back and forth from the house to the slopes.

Bachelor trip to Wisp

This place was great for my brother and his friends for his last trip as a bachelor. It is on the water, a walk to wisp. Property was clean and in great repair! Would def recommend this host!

Beautiful home

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. There were three families and plenty of space for us all. The kitchen is stocked, lots of linens and comfortable beds. Just a short drive to the grocery store and across the street from skiing. Highly recommend this home for your getaway!

Perfect stay for a ski trip to wisp!

I was here recently with my kids and friends to do some skiing at wisp. The location was right across the street so was easily able to go back and forth as needed. Everything was as expected and for the few items that needed attention the management company jumping in right away.

Family Getaway

Th property was excellent. Even though, we were hit with the remnants of a hurricane, and rained / misted the entire trip, we had enough to keep us occupied. We weren't short of anything in the house during the entire trip. It was great for all of us and we hated leaving.

MDW Fun

This house was perfect for our weekend with close friends. We had three families staying at the house. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, lawn games and relaxing in the hot tub. I highly recommend this house.

Great House with gorgeous views and convenient to Wisp

This house is perfect for people with multiple families. Essentially has 3 master rooms with en-suite bathrooms plus 2 kid rooms in the upstairs area. Hot tub has a view and overlooks the lake. The kitchen is a good size and is well stocked with kitchen items. The house is in great shape. You could walk to Wisp for skiing. Highly recommend staying here.

We were scheduled to be in another property but due to water damage the day of our arrival we were moved to another property. The new property was ok but it was a duplex and on the main road. The property we originally booked was on a private road and a full house. However the transition to everything was handled very well by Red Barn Vacations. We would not be interested in renting this property in the future.

Perfect Home & Location, Winter WISP Adventure

Our first family vacation to Deep Creek and our 1st skiing adventure at WISP. Highly recommend this home for not only its ease of location (right across the street from WISP), but provided a wonderful home setting for 2 + families, grandparents, and children (infant-11). The home is so well kept, the furnishing, beds, bedding, towels were of higher quality. The kitchen was well stocked for your culinary needs. Endless board games, pool table, hot tub with a view. Great WIFI (multiple children were e-learning, adults were working) and it kept up perfectly. Our children were young and first-time skiers, it was the perfect place to shuttle kids/adults back and forth from the slopes. The manager of the property is extremely responsive and helpful.

Nice Home

Great location. Nice clean house. The HVAC system was dysfunctional. Could not get the lowest level heated. And the top level overheated. Thank goodness for the unit heaters someone left on lower level where a senior couple in our group was boarding. We were not excited about having to self check ahu unit and find filthy filters to change out . Shame on the maintenance contractor. We had one good day with the fire pit. However strongly recommend a larger more substantial portable one or a permanent in-ground one for the best enjoyment. Also, mid level bedroom had no closet (owners lockup in there) so guests had to hang clothing up on drape rod. Strongly suggest placing a large armoire in that room. Our group rated the house and property management company a solid four star.

Best of Both World

First time to deep creek for an impromptu trip and we had a great time. The house was playful and comfortable with an awesome view of some great lake/people watching! The house is also incredibly convenient to a coffee shop, restaurants, WISP, etc. The deck with tons of seating gave us plenty of sunny or shaded comfort during the day activities/relaxing with the TVs and pool providing us the perfect preseason football viewing and games at night. The beds were delightful - just a comfy ease in with the mattresses and pillows!The hot tub was not the most comfortable - we both found it hard to sit in comfortably (but it's a hot tub and so that's a ticky tack comfort complaint - we just happen to like hot tubs and have been in a few others we like better) and the dog from next door definitely is allowed to poop on the what might be the shared lawn so just watch your step when traversing to the available dock. Otherwise, the house came fully loaded with an awesome online guide for settling in to all the house offers but if that didn't somehow cover it, Lori, the property manager, was a quick outreach away for any other questions or needs! We look forward to returning whether to this or to use Red Barn for another property! Thanks for a much needed, beautiful getaway - the house is comfy yet fun!!

Issues and recommendations

Thanks for the email. Here are a few suggestions. Will start at the front door. There should be a light fixture over the front door so you can read the numbers on the digital pad lock. Very difficult at night, we had to use the flashlight on our phone. In the 1st floor master bathroom sink drains extremely slowly as well as the upstairs bathroom. Also, in the morning you have to run the hot water for about 5 minutes before the water gets warm enough to use. Two towel hooks are broken. One in the shower, the second on the inside of the bathroom door. The shower handle is extremely loose, needs to be tightened. The kitchen table need to replaced or refinished. We had to go out and purchase a tablecloth for the table. The hot tub does not have a lock on the cover, it's missing. One of the pool sticks, in the basement is missing a tip, The deck needs to be pressure washed and discard the old BBQ brush, it's disgusting. In the photo of the property, it shows a grass lawn area between the house and the lake. What it doesn't show is the number of geese droppings all over the lawn. Two houses to the left of her house have fake lawn animals to help keep the geese away. The hot tub doesn't have a lock on the strap. The ramp leading to the dock should be secured, especially for older guests. My self and the guest to the right of us, could not dock the pontoon boats in the slips provided. Too narrow. The location of the house is convenient. Hope this helps
